Matt: We'll continue this in real life unless some1 else wants me to continue it here(or if I can't sleep tonight I'll reply also :p). [the cd's haven't left my mind in week/s]

My reply will be longer then your, and that's just getting gay for time it's taking 2 reply....

BTW I don't own this and won't buy it; I don't like it. I do buy CD's and Vinyl I like......(last cd purchase was hernan's).

VERY quickly..."Petter, Ulrich Schnauss, because their tracks stick in your head."

Ulrich Schnauss is a god in his own right, his tracks sound better then the Sasha remixes (I have his 3LP vinyl set @ home, as well as his CD), and I like petter's tracks before Sasha touched them.

Never any love lost mate...It's sharing views, it's not about love and hate. You learn through difference of opinions...

True, Schnauss' stuff is brilliant, I've heard his album, and it was gold, but just what I meant was that it wouldn't fit onto the cd if it remained in original form. It would've sounded totally out of place. That's what I was saying, that the originals of all these tracks could not have come together to make a mix cd, without intervention.

Will you be at Icebox on Friday night? I'll fight you then :D We'll just have to watch out for Security guard Sid :nervous: :nervous:

hahahahaha you better watch out Matty!lol

I should be at the icebox this Friday, however I dont think I will be able to make it on time to Adam's set (you can all rub it in and tell me what a fantastic set I missed out on when I get there though) because I have a really close friends 21st on before then. I shall prance on down a bit later on to put my two cents into this arguement though :D

By Friday I might have even heard it! :D

I'm actually curious to hear it now, even though I dislike prog...

Matt how can you call Airdrawndagger crud???? :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

Thats pure blasphemy my son, blasphemy of the worst kind!!! (You'll have to repent by buying your local progressive priests some beers i think!!! ;):D:D)

You had valid points up until that paragraph there.

EDM is a stupid term.

This is hardly a "DANCE" album.

Its not a "prog" album.

So what if some of the tracks have been around a while - its a collection of some of Sasha's favourites - edited the way he wanted them - to fit the way he wanted it to. He knows what he is doing, its turned out a masterpiece.

No waste of money there - but if u dont like it, fair enough. I love airdrawndagger, and I hope stamper is reading this - I think he has my copy :)

I love 005, but if you gave any self respecting prog dj the same tracks, and a few hours they could make it just as good.

But thats the point, Holden has the tunes - he as a great skill of selection, sure his mixing is a tad off, but his skill at finding tracks and creating a set are second to almost none.

had a listen this morning on the train

me likes, pretty solid album and i like his interpretations of tunes.

but after one listen im not like OMG BEST ALBUM EVER! maybe after a few more listens.

Its def not crap tho, its of high standards, just not mindblowing... yet.:stongue:
Hard_NRG
I just heard the entire album and i quite like it. My favourite song on it would have to be track 8, Lostep - Burma, such a beautiful song. :D

Is it just me or has no-one noticed that Sasha isn't actually as cutting edge as the GU PR machine would have you believe......if you cast your minds back to 2001 and PvD's Politics of Dancing, a seminel trance album if ever there was one, he actually re-worked lots of the tracks, by other artists, which he used in the compilation....

I just think that credit should be given where it's due.....& in this case PvD is the true pioneer.....

That said I don't want to detract from Sasha's quality album, which I rate as a 9/10:D :D
