The underdog, Detroit, in spite of all the predictions made in favour of Lakers, and everyone saying that Pistons are no match for LA, they still came up on top in Game 1... on LA's home court too!

| i pick lakers in 6...so what the pistons won the first game..i am glad they did..that will get the lakers inspired and awaken the beast..detroit made thier game plan fairly obvious and phil will work his way around it..i expect karl malone and payton to play harder as they r the one who wants it most..the lakers r mad,awakened and not as cocky..so watchout. |

| After Game 1 its pretty tough to pick the Lakers,I mean is Malone gonna play like crap again,Detroit seems more youthful and they play better defence than the lakers,and we all know defence wins championships. |
