I pay 124$ a month, about 1488$ a year. I drive a Ford Taurus 2002. My insurance dropped 25% since last year. Thats for turning 25 years. I had one claim, non responsible accident and had one speeding ticket.

I live in Laval which is a pretty busy suburb of montreal.

I've also had the full fledge permit for a year ( there's a 2 years probation in quebec before getting the real one).

Well I guess it does go down for some people, for me it didn't do nearly that much!

lol...I really don't know why people are so blown away when they find out that their location affects their premium.

Can you honestly say that someone driving a Focus, for example, in rural Ontario should be paying the same for their policy as someone in Toronto??? That's absolutely retarded. Why should they pay a higher premium because of the accident and theft rates that exist in Toronto???

The insurance industry is one of the most highly regulated industries out there...they don't pull stats and premiums out of their ass. I'm not saying it doesn't need to be "fixed"...but I DEFINITELY don't agree that people should pay the same regardless of their age, sex, location, etc.

as i said before someone should take them to court for sexism. Imagine if women had to pay more for insurance. There'd be a civil rights march daily!

$232.47 / month (was $321.88 before I moved). 0 accidents, 0 tickets. I'm hoping for another $75 off when I turn 25 in a few days. We'll have to see.

So in true!

And btw, do seniors pay more because they're old? Cause I'm pretty sure they don't, and when I was out driving today I ran across 3 seniors that were easily a safety hazard (no use of blinkers, driving way too slow, driving the car in both lanes).

I need to buy me a box for these kinds of situations.
