2002 Ford Focus SVT:

My car insurance just dropped ~30% (~$90 / month) because I got the hell out of north Scarborough and moved to Oakville. Insanity!

----

Lets see what it changes to in 3 days when I turn 25. I'll post the % drop when I get my premium change.

If you moved out further, your insurance would go down even more.

It's pretty in sad that these guys can get away with such bull.

Btw, I just checked what I would be paying if I was the primary driver on a 2000 Nissan Altima (which I wanna buy next year when I get my G). My annual rate would be $6181 ............

:stongue: :stongue: :stongue:

boggles the mind, doesn't it?

...someone should honestly sue for Age discrimination...Just cause someone turns 25 doesn't mean that, all of the sudden, they become responsible drivers :whip:

Where you live plays a huge part in your insurance rate. I realize they have to go by numbers and stats. But does this really make sense? I live in Toronto, I don't drive to work, I hardly drive at all compared to someone who lives in Barrie and drives 200+KM/DAY to/from work. The Barrie driver's insurance is likely about %50 less then mine.

And who's more likely to get in an accident?

My insurance dropped over $100/month by switching my address from Toronto to Newmarket.

The whole 25 thing is long overplayed and isn't necessarily true now. Mine barely went down at all, the guy on the phone was telling me it's not making a huge impact anymore, as it use to.

I just changed my age to 25, and it went down to $3261.

$5624 at 24 years old.
