Exactly it wouldn't be much of a test. If the average should be 100 then in a "perfect" IQ test everyone would get 100.
This would be because the test would be massive and test every facet of life and so on. Every sort of intelience.
Rember I'm talking about a real intelligence test. Not a knowlage based. Basicly every test these days relys upon knowlage of maths or english. Even the symol based ones in many cases. For example in many cases the techniques required to do the tests need to be known to do the test (I mean maths mostly).
For example I could make a test which you would find imposssible but someone no more inteligent (just because he know s about for example some form of computer programming technique which is analogous to the test).
So I'd say your IQ test mark is just that an IQ test mark. Not your intelligence. |

| ^^^ if all people were of equal intelligence. That is, the "combined intelligence" of a retarded person would equal that of someone like Picotto, Einstein, Le Corbusier, Kant etc. I doubt that any kind of weighting of abilities could give rise to such a "test". |

Exactly, thats why I think these are more competance tests not intelligence. Saying one person is more inteligence than another is a very diffecult thing to be able to do.
One person may be better than another at certain things (e.g. "IQ tests") but thats nothing to do with inteligence. Someone could be hugly inteligent but just not able to concentrate for long enough to do the question. |
