btw what kind of crack are you smoking ben diesel?

No it wasn't the amateurs. It was the pro team. Proves that while USA may be the richest country in the world, it doesn't mean jack when it comes to sports. Take a look at MLB: what kind of a team has won the last 3 world series? It certanly wasn't the money-hungry Yankees (who have a payroll bigger than some countries have collateral).

It was pink-ish in color....got it from an NBA star. I'll hold his name annonymous to protect his public stature. He's only got two rapes under his belt but he's a world champion so it doesn't count. I think it was bunk though because I didn't even catch a buzz off it.

no one still gives them a chance in hell to win this series even after they smoked LA by 20 points last night. they have dominated every game and should be up 3-0. pistons in 6.

DETROIT WHAT

It'll be great once Detroit wins the trophy, everyone is surprised we came this far, figures since our city's motto is "Detroit, What?"

I don't care about it either, just giving an example mate :)

I have been a big Pistons fan since I got into basketball in the late 80's and with all the big 'Bad Boys' theme and everything and went through it all, even with the Grant Hill era (still upset that they overworked him to death to the way he is .. should be an easy NBA Hall of Fame candidate right now, if detroit didnt push him )

but go pistons! and go larry brown! seems to know how to deal with the self-egos (from iverson to 'sheed wallace) .. like who would have known wallace would accept sitting on the bench for more than 10+ minutes!

but go pistons! the lakers do not look prepared for the NO-FLY ZONE!

Yeah, remember the 90's? Man, playoffs were a war back then. Chicago vs. NY, chicago vs. detroit, the jordan rules, etc.

Wish it could be like that again:( :(

What can I say I'm a UCONN fan *cough* Rip and I hate the Lakers.

Go pistons!

ps it was sweet seeing Kobey getting raped in game 3. What goes around comes around biatch. ;)

what I don't get is that people say ooh the lakers are toying with them, they got it, they will beat them....

but look at the games, the first one the pistons kept them to their lowest score in the playoffs...ever. and the pistons won.

Game two came down to OT, that is freaking as close as it gets.

Game 3 was just plain silly, the pistons blew the lakers out.

I just don't understand how someone can say with any confidence that the lakers got the next 3 games...it just doesn't add up. I think I am gonna go down to a casino here and see what the bookies say.

but I think my money would go on the pistons again

I looked up the odds but i have no idea what they mean.

Being the NBA champions cannot be the same as being world champions considering NBA stands for NATIONAL Basketball Association. Therefore, it doesn't count for the whole world. There are also many other leagues in many other countries that would just be completely ignored. For instance, in football (soccer) you could argue that either La Liga or The Premiership are the best leagues in the world. However, you wouldn't straight away crown Arsenal or Valencia as world champions, would you?

I think it means that they are almost equal.....meaning they have no clue but still favor I think the lakers a little.
