I don't think any of those teams would beat the Pistons. I don't think any team in the NBA can currently beat the Pistons. The Mavs absolutely dominated Detroit in the regular season, because they dont have any inside game that Detriot is so good defending. They just shot over them.

The lakers played poor defenese and even more horrendous offense. Everytime down the floor kobe get double teamed so he passed he, and relyed on his other players to score and even they could not convet shots as much as detroit. The only way the lakers could have won this final is if shaq had 70 points per game because eveyone else was useless due to DP's so called incredible defense.
what was more sad was DP going to the line 8 min into each quarter. If I was the choach I would put my head down and nod due to this poor defnese making 5 fouls which creates major players to go to the bench. Why did the lakers rely on outside shotting the whole game when they knew they could not hit any outside shots except for medvendinko in the last game for the first 3 minutes he had his 3/3

CONCLUSION!!! Why did the lakers even make the finals!! DUE TO WHATS HIS FACE(DEVON GEORGE MAKING THAT .4 SEC SHOT LEFT. nAAAA tHATS NOT GOOD ENUFF. A team that relyed on last second shots (good example is stanford ) will not win the final and end up as the best team because then its just luck they are making it that far and not skill like DP that will win in the end!
PS... if kobe did not hit that shot in game 2 guess what laker fans !!! they would of lost 4-0!! Be happy they even got a victory!! |

i don't think you can say 'o this or that team' coulda beat the pistons because they won the championship and proved they are the best.
while the lakers did get lucky in some instances in the earlier rounds, they got to the finals for a reason. they played good enough to get to the finals, but their best to get to the finals wasn't good enough for them to win the finals. also, i must say thats gotta be the worst they have ever played.
so yea the pistons deserve it because they clearly showed their skills to beat the lakers.
and yes i am a lakers fan, but damn ben wallace is en badass when shaq got rejected i expected shaq to throw one down in his face or something, but nothing happened.
either way they didn't play well enough. i think they would have been better running more offence through shaq, but then shaq couldn't make free throws if he got fouled. then the so called 'role players' (i hate that en term) couldn't make just either.
so thats that.
and i repeat i am i lakers fan, but i was saying these bitches they suck by the third qtr. |

i gotta admit the Lakers derserved making it to the Finals but they got totally outplayed by the pistons. i hate the lakers, but even then i felt sorry for them when they were down 26 points. Ben wallace played a bad ass 5th game. Can't believe him or hamilton didn't win the MVP.
