torontotrance is a fukin moron. Moore is trying to open the eyes of the American public ; to show them something that the news won't because of governement control. He is showing America the problems with their country, both internally and with foreign policy. He is showing them why 9/11 occurred. He is showing them why there exists so much violence in their society!!! Michael Moore is doing what no other film-maker in history has done: Created a MAINSTREAM documentary opposing the current US government and releasing it in the US!!
I'm assuming that torontotrance is a dumb redneck hillbilly from the south and for that reason, I forgive him for his monumental ignorance. LEAFS SUCK!!:stongue: :stongue: |

| damn now lets not start dissing each other, lets keep dissing the U.S,and if u guys think CNN is bad, watch Fox news (no 1 news channel in Texas if i remember well), no wonder the people there dont have a clue of whats going on,they're being brainwashed by a republican news channel. I give props to the province of Quebec cuz in here we like getting informed, and the right way, here opinions counts and are heard,i rather live in a place where we argue all the time then just live in ignorance and live like everythings perfect while its quite the contrary,i like knowing when my country is in deep .States,it takes a freakin movie for them to realize that the rainbow over their head is in bull and is to cloud their judgement and opinions, while they think irak is the main usa preoccupations, they dunno crap of whats going on somewhere else. news just come and go, everybody forgot about North Korea and the nuclear powerplant reopening, heck for sure it was a trick to get money from the states or get something out of them, what happened,we have no freakin idea of what decision was made,of it was said in the news, well havent been in the news for long. What about that Spy plane that crashed in China, wat the heck happened with that?(Note:...WHAT THE WAS THAT U.S. PLANE DOING FLYING IN CHINESE AIR ZONES IF IT WASNT SPYING?!?!IS THAT LEGAL?!)We all know Chinese are a big industrial machine growing now at an exponential rate, and is best reknown for copying technology (japanese are known for copying and making it better like the rotative motor, first made by a japanese metal worker if i remember well, germans were the first to try it in a automobile, then came back the japanese with the german plans, and they perfected it,but not sure of the chronological order).as for 9/11,all of this is weird,im sure this was all planned out,9/11 was just the key for the states to do what they wanted: from Afghanistan go to irak cuz quite frankly they (major oil companies ex:Texaco) were pissed off with the oil crisis going on in Venezuela and with Hugo Chavez, had to find another source who would be also less expansive...as in free and lets not forget practically gettin the "monopole" on the oil market, dont even know why the OPEP still exists, and Saddam wasnt exactly using all the oil money for the use of the population (U.N allowed Irak to sell oil for drugs and education). And the us had in plan to build a pipeline "underwater",read that somewhere, but way to expansive, why waste money like that when irak already has useful pipelines, just have to find a way to get it to Afghanistan,in which case underwater would be logical but really expansive but with a military budget of near 400 billions and most of the major oil compagnies backing u up cuz they're of U.S. interests and probably owned by americans, why not?!,anyways, seriously u really think the troups are there waiting for a government to be installed? If they wanted a government to be a installed,it wouldnt take that long, trust me.So if we look at it,Irak and afghanistan in the same aria, whats in the middle, iran, had beef with them under Carter in 79 no?!U.S are freakin scared of Iran and its possibly becuz of nuclear power, they might have suspected iran to have made/bought some,i dunno, dont think they'd sell it to irak, but we never know, even though im sure none of them forgot the 82 war.hey, guess whats near by those countries...CHINA. Being the super military power,we have no idea how powerful they are now,im really scared of them,U.S. needs to get as much info as they can on that country, cuz quite frankly if there was to be a war between china and the U.S right now,China would substain a lot of losses, but would win the war, heard that their submarines are among the most technologically improved in the world.and the U.S knew north korea opening nuclear power plant = selling nuclear weapons to other countries, for example China,so North K. was smart to use that trick to get to the U.S..As for Syria, cant quite put the finger on whats wrong with Syria except the allegations that were brought up in the news. Now inside the country, what better way to occupy the population then with guns, drugs, high criminal activity rate, bogus elections and a terrorist attack.L.A and the ghettos, the projects,i dont think pimps and crime lords are powerful enough to implant that much drugs and weapons in the U.S.,and lets not be blind,i dont think when they arrest drug lords or big time pushers, the drugs and money they get goes into charity foundations (yeah its illegal money, but like they dont use it,i dont know how many freakin millions or billions of dollars are transferred under the table of on black markets)...especially not the drugs hehehe,so they probably put it back on the streets to be sold or get one of their "pushers" to sell it,heck they can do the hell they want. The U.S is a country that is ready to sacrifice some for the well being of the overall aka pure capitalism.the only guy capable of saying something making sense and not going towards 100% U.S. interest was Collin Powell, but we dont hear much of him nowadays,do we,and for the war on irak, heck he knew it 2 weeks after the decision was made.I could say so much more, but thats already a lot and its 2 freakin 40 am,so im out!!! (one last thing..BILL O'REILLY,WHO GIVES A CRAP WHO THAT GUY SAYS!!!U CANT GET MORE REPUBLICAN THEN THAT GUY,this dude is as democrate as Ralph Nader,Nader's one of the principal reasons the democrat lost,he's a hidden republican fo sho,"now he attacks the bush administration",pffff bunch of bull) |

Why would US want to pipe oil to Afghanistan? And why do you say underwater?

It's not UN that allowed or forced that kind of barter but constant bombardments by the USAF and Brits. It's hard to negotiate what so ever in such conditions. And all that telling what to do to other countries is so unethical...can you imagine North Korea demanding US to do the same as what happened in Iraq. Imagine all the "free world media" qualifying such acts as a threat to "democracy" and "freedom"... |

well for the oil, i dont think the americans would totally be cool with showing the media that they're building pipelines in irak for their own purpose,so underwater would be logical cuz it'd be hidden, but anyways, one way or another,we'd find out.Digging deep down and all those dynamite explosions would automatically draw some attention, which is why i also said they might as well use the pipelines already there. Even then if they dont take the oil, to whom irak will sell it,and who's gonna take charge of it?! Probably the new guvernment of irak set with the help of americans(and if the oil gets "privatized" i.e. owned by a private company, well it will probably be of american interests), so for sure they'll act and take decisions concerning the oil that are in the best interests of the U.S. (and friends)As for "piping" it into afghanistan, well where else could they pipe it,and keeping it in irak might be dangerous cuz al qaeda men seems to be installed there and giving to the us troops,so al qaeda + weapons = oil wells on fire = money going up in flames, heck saddam did it during the gulf war,and i mean the whole area is hostile to u.s. military forces except Pakistan (regardless of the extremists),India not hostile but not doing much, american troops really took control of that region. From that point, what would they do with it,i have no idea, cuz i doubt any boats could get there except threw maybe the Suez Canal, but then they would have to get the boat into the meditteranean sea...so its impossible. But they really need that oil without any doubt, so dont really need to get it somewhere they just need to "own" it.Whats saudi arabia gonna do about it,no idea, cant imagine anything. For the U.N.,well yeah ure right with bombs destroying ur country, there isnt any negociations that can go on,so u just accept what ever terms they impose to u,but anyways U.N. = U.S cuz U.N. cant do crap without them, and U.S. will do wtv they want regardless of the U.N,the war in irak is a perfect example of it. But publicly,it was a U.N. program called "oil-for-food" to help him out. As for democracy, well when the americans want something, they'll get it,so democracy is the least of their worries. They got no ethics when it comes to getting what they want, they'll blackmail ur ass at every occasion, especially small countries. So when a country like N.Korea got a chance to blackmail the u.s. they'll take it,i know i would, its easy money, at what cost,i dont know what was part of the deal. The war in irak,i very much doubt this war started only on the basis of WMD and saving the iraqi people, cuz if its the case, why not help in Africa well they're are some tensions and corrupted ruling, i dont think the hutus and tutsi's are done with their beef, how could the us go to iraq and save the population there but could not prevent the killing of millions in Rwanda?!Yeah they helped Liberia, but thats like a politician kissing a baby, its for image. Ethics? nada,if u ask a u.s diplomat (an evil one) if they give orders to other countries,of course he'll say no,and he'll probably add "we just show them the advantages of taking such a decision",thats how they do when they want propositions to pass during a u.n. assembly or any economical meetings, blackmailing is the way to go.Basically for saving the iraqi people,i think they were expecting a little reward. Also if they knew Saddam would turn out to be such a jackass, they wouldnt have helped his ass in 82 and wouldnt have let him there in iraq in 91,so they got screwed. And for free world media, media might show us a lot of things (more and more,im impressed and sickened by what i see),but really not all of it,if we were to acknowledge all the crazy stuff going on in the battlefield/prisons,tortures and all the rest,i think they'd be a civil war going on in the us. Freedom, accepting that collateral damage includes lost of innocent lives is not really what i call freedom, and yet more innocent are dying everyday, dunno how many,if any numbers are thrown on news channels,im sure it wont be even close to the real number. So the media plays a big role in the public opinions, wars can be won with media, the gulf war is a great example with the thing about the iraqi soldiers killing babies in koweit while they were still in their incubators, but as whats going on,they got no power. |

| As a matter of fact oil is being pumped everyday...and there is no need to pump it to Afghanistan :) It's a shady business therefore there is little that goes public about it... |

ok first thing first, Jon, Use paragraphes man!!, I can't read your stuff!!!
Second, its totally logic to pass pipelines thru Afghanistan because if you look on a map, its the only way to bring Petrol from the caucase to the indian sea without passing thru Iran... Afghanistan is a strategic area. |

Caucasus oil was and is pumped through Russia.
As for Iraqi oil, there is no way to pipe it to Afghanistan unless you want to pay Iran, Pakistan and India for transit :)
