IMO it's worth watching as it shows much of what the corporate shill media has censored from Americans.
Other than that, think Fox News in reverse.

Exactly! All this movie/documentery does, it just portrays the other side which had been absent since this administration took the office. Especially when the media had jumped the bush's bandwagon right around the time of the run up to the Iraq war.
I also thought it was extremely funny, but done in a very intelligent way. I think everybody should see this movie, not so you could hate bush, but so you could see the other side. All I could say is money well spent! |

The other side has been absent? If by absent you mean they haven't had a widely released movie declaring their agenda the past four years, I'll agree. But I'm sure that if you search the posts found on this board over the last four years, you'll find a ton of left-wing sympathy in the news and media. Especially over the last year or two as the media has found money in ripping apart the war on terror. I wouldn't buy the "absent" arguement for an instant. |

I couldn't say anything as far as what you were reading or doing since I dont know you. Maybe, our attention span merely lasts a day or so. But I remmember from the day when Bush gave his UN speech in the fall of '02 and right up until the war started. All you could see/hear in the news was about 'Coundown to Iraq', etc. They (bush admin.) were constatantly shown on tv making their points about how imminent this war was, if we don't get Saddam, US would turn into a one big mushroom cloud. Pure fear tactics! and the media kept feeding us over and over. Even the democrats had jumped the bandwagon, there was no significant amount of dissent. The articls you're talking about, let me tell you something. The Nation or sfgate.com don't count. And just because we've had them on this board it doesn't necessarily means the rest of America got the same amount of news and coverage about as far as the other side goes.
Note: Tranceaddict.com is not a viable sample of what represents America.
And lastly, why don't you go see the movie yourself and see EXACTLY what i'm talking about in particular what we didn't get to see. |

If someone chooses to be informed about what goes on they really have to put a lot of effort and time into looking for that information...
However, if you're like the majority of Western society (stuck in a daily/weekly routine) then all you have time for is the evening news and (if you're lucky) maybe the newspaper |

wow, swamper in polticial forum :D:D:p
i can agree with you to a certain extent, but if that really is the case, doesn't pretty much the whole idea with democracy fail then? if people are not informed, then why should they decide about things? |

People like to think they are informed, when in reality they barely touch the surface. It's like following the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for a few months and thinking you know what is going on meanwhile you don't know any of the history behind it.
Democracy, in theory, gives 'everyone' a voice - but some voices are much more influential than others...
Why do so few people vote? They feel their voice is not important - AND/OR - they don't want to spend any time informing themselves because it is just easier to have someone else do the homework for them. |

problem with michael moore is all he did was cut and edit most interviews...paste video edits
all to portray his view and cast the other side in dark light
ex: he cut out an interview with a congressman when he responded he did indeed have 2 nephews in the army fighting.
i bet you michael moore felt like a fat dumbass. But then again, what does he do? he goes and cuts and paste only the congressman's image as he walks away
Movie is full of fiction and flaws beyond most people's comprehension.
Oh well go feed this fat 's pocket for the hypocrite he is. He hates you and america.....he has said it countless times. Clap for him people:rolleyes:
Watching a movie does not inform people of anything truthful....only bias and opinions |
