After some testing of the new Discogs, I must say that I like many parts of it, but it's still needs a lot of polishing - but that's just what you can expect for such a bid update.
First of all the search is still not optimal (though not as ed as the first days!). It takes quite a while to update the database? 3 days after I submitted a release, it still doesn't show up in the search?
Besides that, if it's possible, I think the search should prioritate better, when searching within 'All Discogs'.
It might just be me, but I tend to make a lot of searches fx. when submitting a release (since the duplication function has been taken out now..???), and I think the system prioitates wrong.
If I search for 'Leama', it shows 20 releases with Leama and Leama & Moor, before showing up the artist pages for them.
Given the fact that these two artist are common denominator for these release, there is a great chance that it's one of them I'm looking for - therefore they should be on the first page.
Maybe hard to understand, but try to take a search for 'A State Of Trance', where you 'forgot' to search within labels. Impossible to find...

Looks good.
One comment though. If you search under the category "All Discogs", it doesn't seem to show results in a logical order. For example if its an artist you have to scroll down and sometimes on the next few pages to find their page. The only way to tell it is an arrtists too is by looking at the link provided below the text.
It would be nice if would could have some sort of guide next to the URL saying if its an artist/release like list time.
Apart from that.... nice one! :D |

| yeah guys, the search engine is complete bollocks and will be fixed asap, a lot of other things will be fixed as well, the site owner just went away for the weekend so expect things fixed this week! :) |
