you should thank a farmer when you see one... farming is alot of work and doesn't pay that well

i know alot of farmers and many of them could leave the farm to go work some deskjob but they dont because someone has to work the fields to get food in your supermarket.

bah... i dont know what farmers you're talking about, but thats a bit high for farming... unless you own a big box operation, are a quebec dairy or hog farmer (thx to guvernment), or a big cotton farmer in southern USA...

are you sure those stats arent from US? american farmers are heavily subsidized so that they dont have to compete with third-world farmers (again thx to guvernment)

farmers dont make alot, but they're not poor... its just a different way of life... lets just say that free nights and weekends on your cell phone plan isnt a necessity:)

those stats were published not too long ago... its in C$ :)

The greatest thing about surfing the net at work and browsing TA forums etc...

..is that your taxes are paying my wage!

My boyfriend is a dairy farmer, and his family is very wealthy. It all depends on what kind of farming you are into, and how you go about your business.

i work hard, but i think work has a flow. Some days you just gotta get your done, and others you can do less. its the ability to shift gears and work it hard then take it easy thats important. That way yuo don't kill yuorself working hard... or be lazy either. I've gotten many commendations from my manager, its funny just the other day i got some sort of idiotic "achievement award" which then is emailed to the entire staff on my floor. It aint motivitating, but it feels good to be recognized for working hard every once in a while. I take it easy when I want, but I work hard when I want. its all about balance i say!

and now back to the regularly programmed work =]
