yet Cheney has no political experience except for his vice presidency

Get your facts straight before you shoot your mouth off like that.

quote:
Mr. Cheney was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on January 30, 1941 and grew up in Casper, Wyoming. He earned his bachelor's and master's of arts degrees from the University of Wyoming. His career in public service began in 1969 when he joined the Nixon Administration, serving in a number of positions at the Cost of Living Council, at the Office of Economic Opportunity, and within the White House.

When Gerald Ford assumed the Presidency in August 1974, Mr. Cheney served on the transition team and later as Deputy Assistant to the President. In November 1975, he was named Assistant to the President and White House Chief of Staff, a position he held throughout the remainder of the Ford Administration.

After he returned to his home state of Wyoming in 1977, Mr. Cheney was elected to serve as the state's sole Congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives. He was re-elected five times and elected by his colleagues to serve as Chairman of the Republican Policy Committee from 1981 to 1987. He was elected Chairman of the House Republican Conference in 1987 and elected House Minority Whip in 1988. During his tenure in the House, Mr. Cheney earned a reputation as a man of knowledge, character, and accessibility.

Mr. Cheney also served a crucial role when America needed him most. As Secretary of Defense from March 1989 to January 1993, Mr. Cheney directed two of the largest military campaigns in recent history - Operation Just Cause in Panama and Operation Desert Storm in the Middle East. He was responsible for shaping the future of the U.S. military in an age of profound and rapid change as the Cold War ended. For his leadership in the Gulf War, Secretary Cheney was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George Bush on July 3, 1991.

My mistake, sorry

People like to hide their past, Bush's full records were never released and Kerry's (even tho he is a full war hero, which should not be disputed because he did risk his life in vietnam, where many people were coming home in bodybags) is incomplete with the medical records left out.

All I know is, I dislike both people but Kerry at least, we know did fight in a war.

You people are out of control, seriously.
spin, spin, spin. it must suck.

How's this a ing spin? Bush cannot account for this period in time, the records that are being investigated somehow got mysteriously destroyed while they were trying to unravel it?

I call "Bull" on this one. That's ing absurd.

Always happy to be of service. Sorry if you can't seem to handle a questionable dilemna posted about your "war hero" gestapo leader. This is a legitimate question, esp. when they try to fire rounds on an actual ing war hero who served in a war and didn't chicken his way out of it, like your beloved leader did, or your beloved Darth-ing-Vader VP, or a slew of your ing chickenhawk bull wimps in office.

So tell me, how on earth did Bush get into the Texas Air Guard with a 25% on his entrance exam? And why did he specifically state that he did NOT want to go to war in Vietnam? Boy, sounds like a guy I want on the front lines, don't you?

Incorrect. I am rightfully questioning where the my idiot president was during that time, and I am further rightfully questioning the convenient timing of his records somehow being destroyed during the unspoiling process. If my opinion is being known about this issue, so be it - I think our president is full of and a ing coward at that. He's never fully disclosed where he was during that period of time, and now his records got mysteriously destroyed.

Let me see if I can make a worthy comparison - it would be like Monica's dress with Bill's spewage somehow myseriously/accidentally being thrown in the fireplace. Would you and old Kenny Boy Star be a little upset?

Umm, probably.

And your insistence to not question your gestapo leader lends you no better than that pill-popping, lying son of a bitch fat of a slimeball Limbaugh.

Name comparisons are fun, aren't they? They reduce your argument, however.

Oh I live quite fine, and I really don't lose much sleep over it. I do find it funny, however, that you seem to think this type of weasle-behavior and favoritism is okay for your president and leader of the free world.

I just tend to slightly disagree with such an ignorant stance, so forgive me for my dissent.

:stongue: You're great Opus.

I agree though, what kind of citizen are you if you don't question your leaders actions, statements, and history? Do you just accept and agree to whatever your President tells you? You might as well be a happy participant of Communism, if you never question anything, but simply do as you're told and politely plug up your ears when things get a bit nasty.

I won't be satisfied unless I know every piece of dirt and every single part of his life with a full explanation for both, simply because he is the person that is running the country. I don't want some fool telling me I can't know simply because he said so and because he's the President. I don't give two s who you are, citizens have a right to know.

And to think ... not a few days ago Shakka was complaining about things being too quiet :haha:
