Most DJs are pretty ugly, so I don't think it plays a factor... if anything a good looking DJ can only help, but it's not a main factor to where they got.

| This reminds me of a local radio dj that all the girls go crazy for.. WTF...the dude is butt ugly, im not the best looking guy in the world but damn i can easily beat him in looks...Yet he still does it more cuz of his popularity and his status as a DJ. Have to admit though, he is a DJ cuz of his brother. His brother i give props to for bringin some electronica into the scene when it was hardly here. |

People say clubbing/fashion go together...this is certainly true w/ "mainstream" clubbing (hip-hop/top 40 clubs). I thought the whole idea behind the original rave/underground scene was that it was "all about the music?" People could dress the way they want and just enjoy the music. I would hate to see trance and other EDM genres get to the point where little teen girls are dieing to see what shirt say Sasha sports at the next venue. LOL! |

I think the attractiveness of DJs pretty much represents the regular population (some may be attractive, but a lot aren't so attractive).
I think this is good as we shouldn't rate our music on the looks of the artist (music is felt through the ears, not the eyes).
Perhaps us trance listeners may be more favourable to those songs that have hot voices? :p |

| It all about the music!!! If a f*ckin alien spun awesome trance I would go buy his cd or see him live. Yea, you might get some people to come "check you out" if your hot but beyond the first few gigs the show behind the decks would be over. |

C'mon, just think about it. Read all the responses so far and you'll see they all come to the most obvious and logical conclusion - it's all about the music - that's it. This should be obvious to every single TA - it's just common sense. If you actually have to ask this question and bring in a comparison with Britney Spears - then my conclusion is that no matter how well-intentioned or how 'nice' a person the thread starter may be, he/she lacks some common sense.
