I'm a registered republican who hates what bush is doing to the country.. do i count?
Bush has taken the anti-big government platform to a new level, and is counting the original american ideals as acceptable casualties. Peace, Liberty and Freedom are words reduced by his misuse, and the meanings lost in his actions. Should i feel bad for not following my president blindly? I think not. Does this make me less of a patriot? I hope not.
The middle of road friends are mine are getting more and more agitated as the allegations against this administration strengthen, and many have registered to vote for the first time. Hell, if this pattern continues, there may be more traditionally republican states that turn to swing states (despite the babtists and the gun-nuts). I wouldn't even count NC for Bush anymore. Not because of Kerry's strengths, but for Bush's weakness. |

Sadly we live in a time where it is not far fetched at all, look at the nonsense that took place over the Iraq campaign and the reasons or lack thereof behind its rationale that is now unfolding. Bush's reasoning now is the world is better off without Saddam, well of course it is, it would also be better off without Rubert Mugabe, Kim Jong-Il, Middle Eastern dictators, etc. At any rate I have no trust left in this current administration and my low opinion and mistrust of them will remain as long as they are in power. I sometimes ask myself how did George W. Bush become President of these United States of America, :conf: |

Welcome to my scenario, I was not a Bush basher from day one, but as time developed I grew from someone who was "fair and balanced" (wonder if Fox will sue me for that) to someone who developed a great disdain for this current government. It was one ty action after another that made me say enough is enough. I get the distinct impression that this administration doesn't realize or respect the fact that they answer to the American people, not to big Corporate interests or the American people answering to them. A wakeup call is in the offering come November. Many of the things they have done go against the grain of American principles and ideals and I'll be damned if I sit by and cheer without questioning where this country is heading in our policies both domestically and abroad. |

Sounds like they want to see if it's an "option" if one does happen and oh gee if things arn't looking good for Bush at the time then maybe they will LET an attack happen just so they can stay in office. |
Thats EXACTLY whats going on here. Ri-fricking-diculous. |

Umm, yeah, that's what people do when they feel their government is going to .
I'm sorry the criticism bothers you, but I do seem to recall quite a bit of nagging going on about a blowjob some years ago, don't you? |
But still...just because the there is some skepticism about this adminstration...should they just halt all precautions in case of an attack?
I also think the media buzz has blown this out of porportion
Then again the media decides all elections.
Good point with the people feeling their govt is going to though....Unfortunately Bush has opened a slight lead on Kerry/Edwards. Maybe not all the people feel the same way.
Could be the liberals?:thepirate
also about the blowjob...that was uncalled for:nervous: I was scared:( |

Hey speedracer you might want to stop watching Sux news aka Fox, their polls tend to be just a bit skewed, just a little:rolleyes: could have swore the other day they claimed California could go to Bush in the next election, sure! They should stick to broadcasting terror alerts every hour and the U.N. Oil for Food scandal that no one else cares about anymore. |

To be fair to speedracer, I believe he is referring to the latest AP poll, which does show a slight lead for Bush/Cheney.
The AP poll was released before the choosing of Edwards as Kerry's runningmate, however, which most polls agreed has given Kerry a boost. |
