I don't know, I don't know the guy myself. But he referred to it as honesty, so I assume it was, at least in large part. And yes, there is something called tact. But keep in mind when you're chatting on the net, then you're gonna get "burned" on the net, as Orbax put it, a hell of a lot easier than you would in person. Tact to a large extent goes out the window when you're on an online environment. Obviously if a fat dude with pimples came up to me in the real world I wouldn't go "WTF YOU ING WHALE YOU THINK YOU CAN GET WIT ME TWINKIE BOY?!?!"
I mean seriously :) Online is a whole different ball game. |

Depends on your definition of cruel.
Like picking on shallow stuff like looks (totally subjective) or personality (again)...
the REAL gold is when you sit there and tell them that in the end that you are a less happy person for knowing them. They are selfish, insensitive, and a boor. Examples are key. Extrapolate. Use commons digs with personal touches that could apply to anyone, but custom fit it to them.
I mean , lets say you meet a stranger with a shoelace untied.
You could ruin their day by just going off about how they are ing stupid or they dont pay attention to the world around them and they can choose which one applies. If they are so stupid they cant notice the 2 foot strings attached to them, they are going to have one succubus of a ing girlfriend and lose all their friends (speaking of strings) and if they are that oblivious they are going to get fired and/or get their professional/personal lives ruined because they arent going to notice intentions and words they should. They will just go through life wondering why everything turns to after it seemed so good...
ad nauseum. You gotta make em think about how they are a bad person, intrinsically.

but to be honest if someone came up to me and said all that i'd just wonder why they're so busy coming up with BS about how my shoe lace somehow ties into the way i run my life.
then id slap them and continue to walk off...

Well, you gotta choose your battles, of course. Im just saying thatd be a ty thing that youd at least think of for a while during the week and just be like .
Probably check your shoes every time you left and be angry you do it now.
Point was that if you have intimate knowledge of somene you can falsely (and a lot of times its just more one-sided than false) construct a life image of them and project it into the future.
Can work for the + too though. Its merely a societal tool hehe |

We don't know exactly what was said. From what haunted's saying, though, it sounds like she was trying to be gentle at first and then just got more than a little fed up. We've all said stuff when we're fed up that I'm sure we regret. Sometimes, when you're an attractive female, and a guy that you really just didn't click with is dogging you for an explanation of why you're avoiding him, you HAVE to take somewhat extreme measures to get him off your ing case. I'm not saying what she did was right--it does sound a tad cruel--but again, I don't know what exactly transpired. Haunted's feelings might be hurt and he might (unintentionally) be making what she said sound a lot worse. Or a lot better. Because we don't know the situation, we can't really pass judgment. All I can say is I've definitely been in her shoes, and sometimes you've really got to resort to extreme measures to get certain boys detached from your hip. |
