| Thanks for the screenshot Acell! I never knew before that EQ could make that much of a difference. Ross, would it be possible to include some crucial EQ parameters to the VSTi that can be part of a patch as they seems to be an important part of sound design. Thanks! :) |

Hey, eq is always an important part in making a proper supersaw.. i suppose i could add some eq parameters to be built in.. however.. it may cost on the cpu a tad but maybe ill check it out and go for it and see how it works.. then maybe it will be a version 03 addition :D

I 've got some question about the JP8000 supersaw in general:
How many detuned saws are used in the supersaw waveform ?
Do those single saws start to play all at once or is there a certain time lag ( not sure if you know what I mean ) between the main wav and all the detuned layered saw ? :conf:
Would make sense to build a super super saw with lets say 40 layered detuned waves ? Gonna try that I guess..;)

Right from my JP-8080 Manual:
| quote: | S U P E R S A W :
This sounds like seven sawtooth waveforms sounding simultaneously. Pitch-Shifted sounds are added to a central sound. It is especially suitable for creating thick string-type sounds, and allows you to produce a thick sound even when the Key Mode is Single.
[1] Detune:
Adjust the degree of pitch detuning. As the knob is rotated to the right, the pitch will be detuned more greatly making the sound more spacious.
[2] Mix:
Adjust the volume of the detuned sounds relative to the central sound. As the knob is rotated to the right, the detuned sounds will become louder, making the sound thicker. |

This sounds really nice, very simple/fast to program and light on the cpu. I will definitaly be using this now and then, ty for sharing it, ross :)

I dun think theres any lag, my guess is that all starts same exact time. Anyway i see no point on having any lag between them if they are on diff frequencies.
For the 40 wavs, just make a pro-53 supersaw and put unison to that amount of voices, but that wont be much pleasing lol.
If u keep a decent freq diff between each saw, then it means the 1st and last will be at a freq too far from the original one, giving a heavily detuned and annoyin sound, if u keep them close, then u will just hav a huge input on a smal freq range and this will be massive and probably do harm to your mix. |

hey ross,
there's probably a problem with the filters.. when i set the attack of the filter to the minimal position, i can still hear a short attack.
to hear it, you can set cutoff to 0 and the depth to the maximum and attack of the filter and the amp to 0. |
