| IMO D00M 3 & HL2 will be without a doubt the most anticipated games of the year. Actually Doom 3 is the 1 thats been the most anticipated over the years! Neitherless, I have seen Doom 3 already and it looks en awesome. I'm totally speechless about the graphics :eyespop: The game looks rather interesting to play in single player mode but yet again it is the concept of a FPS game so I can't expect too much of the story-line. I will buy Doom 3 just because they deserve respect and the time they have put out on this game. I think this goes to any company that comes out with games :) Besides that, nothing beats an original game CD! For now I'll have to see what HL2 looks like, then I'll decide whats better. |

i think doom 3 is a let down...the only thing great about that game is the graphics. Sure they upped the scaryness factor, but cmon...how can a company that founded quake leave out the main focus of the majority of gamer population online.
Im looking forward to HL2, the story, physics engine, combined with great graphics, will demolish doom3 single player any day. On top of that, add in the obvious online play, and doom3 wont even be a memory when HL2 hits the stores. |

Half Life 2 hasn't been released yet so it's impossible to make a comparison between both games. |

HL2 online isn't that impressive. Counterstrike 2, a mod for HL2, is going to be impressive ;) |

| For the longest time, I was a Half-Life fan and definitely prefered it over Doom. But after playing Doom III, Valve will be hard pressed to match it I believe. All in all, if Valve can turn Half-Life 2 into an equally challenging game as well as comparable graphics/physics, I'd say they are both pretty equal. |
