I already explained why space distance measurments are pretty accurate, so I won't go into that now. Anyway, if the speed of light was higher in the past, as required by creationist theory, we would see only our local neighbourhood of stars, we would not even be able to observe the outer rims of our own galaxy. You see, if we suppose that light speed suddenly slowed down, that would mean that the old light from the stars hit the earth years ago, while the new one still hasn't come. So we would only be able to see an area around us that is visible in accordance to new speed of light, and that would be a sphere with a 6500 ly diameter. We obviously see more than that, so the assumption is false.

hahaha, as usual people not reading into the context of the Bible and trying to use its own words against itself. That has never worked and won't work. I love the attempts here,

See the evolutionists are trying to get me to believe that we formed from monkeys but we are obviously more intelligent and yes you will argue that our brains developed. You are trying to get me to believe that this complex earth just happened from a single cell? You are trying to get me to believe in the fossil record, yet you still have that fossil gap and your dating methods have too many holes. Then someone is surprised that we still have creationists, I find it odd that you have your little media bandwagon totally saying we are wrong, when evolutionists believe what they do on faith and the same with religion. This thread is getting lamer by the day, 1)the Christians in these forums won't go away 2)Our beliefs won't change on lame arguments 3)No matter what we say, your views won't change, so we are at a stalemate here. You can't prove that evolution is true and you won't, so the attempt to just say outright that Christians are wrong, does not hold any water with me. I'm going to be a Christian till the day that I die.

Evolutionists have never been able to explain to me, the change in individuals when they become a Christian and I've seen it and it is mind blowing, yet science has no answer for it. You have no answer in how to fill the hole in everyone's life that exists, the world says buy more stuff, do more things and yet it does not make you happy. You can't explain away that, you have no answer for that or are you going to try to comeup with one, just like how the changing view of the creation of the world in evolutionist's eyes keeps changing. The Bible has not changed and does not keep altering something and to you narrow minded people, I'm not going anywhere, neither is Seventil and it is reality, not everyone believes what you do.

Ok well, you being the expert that you are, enlighten us by reconciling this difference with the proper context:

I Kings 4:26 "And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen."

II Chronicles 9:25 "And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen."

people have the right to believe what ever makes them sleep better at night or keeps them sane and/or alive, whether that be deism or agnosticism. my parents are hardcore christians and they're actually intelligent and kind people. and on the other hand, i know some athiests who are more blindly zealous about their beliefs than many christians.

personally the most annoying thing to me though is when someone tries to explain something by saying "there are things that god just didnt intend man to understand." the second most annoying thing ive heard from a christian is "god put the dinosaur fossils there on purpose to confuse mankind." lol, yeah uhhuh.

i also once heard someone trying to prove creationism using the 2nd law of thermodynamics (law of entropy, im sure it's already been mentioned)...completely out of context.

my own personal sincere question... the bible says that god knows your life before you're born, everything you do. if this is so, then how can we have free will? how can you choose if your choices were already made? (this is where saying "there are things that god just didnt intend man to understand" would annoy me).

1) that's fine.
2) your views won't change in the light of any arguments.
3) if our views will never change, then how is it possible that:

just like how the changing view of the creation of the world in evolutionist's eyes keeps changing.

maybe because it has nothing to do with evolution... it likely has more to do with being a part of social superorganism.

what about people who are totally content without religion?

Attempts to which you haven't answered. Ever.

That's pretty much the idea, yeah.

What gaps? What holes? Elaborate please.

Umm, no, evolutionists rely upon vast amounts of evidence. Creationists rely upon the bible. This is not an interreligious debate. Try to understand that we don't believe in evolution because it gives us peace of mind, but because most evidence points to it being the likeliest occurance.

Noone is forcing you to.

Oh, then how come the official catholic church accepted evolution as a valid and infact most likely theory on the origin of man? Please explain.

3)No matter what we say, your views won't change, so we are at a stalemate here.

Because you haven't provided a single reason why your theory is more valid. But as someone earlier said, you claimed that evolutionary theory changes over time to respond to creationist arguments. Hmm...kinda paradoxical, isn't it?

No, majority of christians are right, because the majority of christians infact do believe in evolution. Including the unmistakable head of the catholic church, Pope John Paul 2nd himself.

Umm, I think you're confusing evolution with psychology.

Well, the evolutionary theory hasn't changed much over time, perhaps only in minor aspects but the general theory is pretty much unchanged. Creationists, however, often change their theories as new evidence keeps coming up that denies their previous theories. The most recent change in creationist theory is embracement of evolution.

But please, stop pretending like you haven't seen my last post. You keep repeating the same thing over and over again, regardless of what arguments are put in front of you. The point of a debate is that people actually interact with each other instead of reposting same posts over and over again.
