Hey "If you're not a Manc,you're a wank!"
HAHA,from Eurotrip.
Ok,seriously,I support MU.I follow them throughout the season,I always read up soccer news from the BBC website.I don't know how much you need to know to officially call yourself a MU fan but I reckon I've supported them long enough to say I'm a loyal supporter.
Just because I haven't attended their games(they are in UK,I am in TEXAS!!) doesn't mean I don't know who their newest signings are. |

| you could say that about any sport. in baseball, the most popular team is the new york yankees. you think ALL of their fans are only their fans cause they win? nope. a lot of them were fans during the 80's and early 90's when they were terrible. and a lot of them are going to be fans in 5 or 6 years when they are terrible again. it happens. about 50% of fans of a popular team are fans for stupid reasons, but that doesnt mean the other 50% are fairweather fans either. |

You know what the funny thing is, is that the people on the bus in that movie are not mancs. Most of them are from London. :D |

| heh i dont think you have to be from the same city as the team to be their fan. im not from newcastle, never visited there (but i could pick it on the map) and i love that team as much as any other newcastle fan. |

u should think about why the club is popular.
I'd say because they play good football and got attracktive players. But Manu's popularity is very much from Beckham...and outside the field and that i's wrong.
at least i started to like Manu before Beckham was a star, i think i liked them because my father did. |
Sounds like you are a die-hard fan.
Got the new fluoro pink alternate ManU strip? |

Yeah how "American" is that. Put Manchester United fans in London. Americans think of european soccer they think Man U and they think England they think London.:haha:
They are scum but you cant say that their fans are "fake". It just comes with the territory of being popular. Ex: Lakers(Basketball), Yankees (Baseball), Cowboys (American Football), and Ferrari(F1. |

man u's popularity started with cantona not beckham, and then theit marketing team went to work.... i dont support man u, i think man u are arrogant s.o.b's with their "world's greatest club" thing and i do not like the 'fans' jumping on the bandwagon (like someone pointed out people from manchester support City), but i will give them credit for their marketing strategy |
Cantonas popularity was mostly based on his performance on the field unlike like beckham, there's nothing wrong with Beck's performance when he played for Manu, but many of his fans is because his a model.
Beckham is nothing compared to what Cantona was on the field!
i hope manu will start to use out ugly players like Chadwick:toothless |

| I'm not from Manchester, I can pick it out on a map. My great grandfather supported them, so I have to, cuz he moved out of the area and to Toronto. Most people are bandwagon jumpers with teams, I'd support Man Utd if they were anyway, it's all about supporting what your heritage did. |

Everywhere around the world these bandwagon jumping bitches are never from Manchester, |
And ur jumping on the 'i hate man utd' bandwagon.
| quote: | | Its really hilarious when they try to say, like they always do, that they started supporting them before they were successful, or when they were too young to know any different. |
So u think all united supporters are gloryhunters? That says more about what u know than anyone else
| quote: | | The world over laughs at Manchester United supports because the fact remains that if they weren't successful they wouldn't be following them and anybody who does support them shows to the world that they are a disgrace to football. |
bollocks, now stop trolling and off. |

Whens the last time you met one of these serious ManU fans from Manchester?
Its not a matter of hating them because it is cool to hate them its a matter of laughing at people that support them. |
Why do u hate them? Because they have a lot of supporters? If thats the reason u must be new to football if u dont know that all big teams have supporters all over the world. I think the only reason u dont like them is because ur as much of a sheep as any gloryhunter fan. |

I hate Man U, and agree that their are a lot of posers out there that say they support them. Especially here in North America...everybody's a Man U fan...my ass they are.
I'm an Everton supporter...you may now all laugh at me, but I'll stick by them till the bitter end. |

damn right. I was born into a yankee loving family during the 80s when they were VERY TY. I always wore a Yankee cap when my friends were White Sox fans or ing Blue Jay fans. Then the Yankees got really good and have been for the last 10 years.
I'm loyal to all my teams, unlike a lot of people. It's just that right now, the Yankees are doing much better than the Montreal Canadiens (hockey), Everton or the Chicago Bears. I couldn't give a rat's ass about basketball.;) |
