Funny thing is, he says he banned him because it gives other ppl opportunity to post, but when arjen is NOT here, I dont see anyone posting, and this section of the forum is dead. Plus I dont see anyone complaining that they cant post because of him. I dont think its "the lot of us" that need to sort things out, just some thoughts to consider. :D :D
p.s. Hopefully, this gets taken into consideration, cause I have stopped coming here, cause its boring..:sadgreen:

I'm not on TA all the time, but when I do come back, all new posts are denoted by the blue arrow. New posts always go to the second or third page for me whether it's the Music Discussion, COR, or this forum, and I have no problem clicking the "2" or the "3" to go to those pages. Saying someone's posts are not allowing others to post because it doesn't appear on the first page is a moot point. The number of views show people are interested in the topic. The replies are what's keeping the topic on the first page, too.
True, one person doesn't make up a forum, but if that person knows links and resources the rest of us don't, I say share what you know. Since the topics and links don't break any of the content rules, who is it really hurting? |

First time I've ever heard of someone being banned for contributing TOO much, especially to a light hearted forum like this. I mean it's one thing to post kiddie porn or spam, but his posts were 100% legit, and we all enjoyed them...
We're all here because we're bored and need something to do to waste our time... who cares if that means we need to scroll through a page or two of threads? |

Since when is TA run by dictators? Most of us live in democratic countries, i'm not seeing anything democratic represented by the mods. Lighten up man.
Most of the people enjoy Arjens' postings. I could care less for some of his (stolen) topics, but so what? This part of the forum lives on new threads with new funny things. Come on, don't just ban someone just because the mods feel he is spamming when the overall majority of the people here do not share this opinion. |

1) who said that i banned arjen? because i never mentioned it, and i didnt ban him anyway. i am merely backing up another mod's actions.
2)if this forum is boring then the blame lies with the people who use it, or a lack of humour/funny stuff on the internet. i wonder which one it is..? this isn't the arjen forum, look at the title. if you have a problem with the lack of posts in here THEN POST! there seems to be plenty of people jumping on MY back on this subject, so there should be plenty of people to bloody well post!
3) arjen has been banned a few times for various things. as i mentioned in my previous post, a special eye is kept on repeat offenders. they are not hard to spot when they create 30 threads within the space of 15 minutes.
4) TA is a "democracy", in that all of the moderators have a say in most of what goes down, and most of the mods we have are voted in in the first place by members of the forums. if a democratic government listened to every random tom dick & harry's thoughts on who goes in to prison, and did everything they wanted where would we be now???? but this is not even the issue, my point was that at the end of the day, it is SWAMPER who decides if/when users are unbanned. so you sitting here winging about it really isn't going to change a thing, which is why i closed the thread in the first place. |

Do you pay for the upkeep of the site like you do your own country? Does Swamper take 20% of your monthly earnings to keep the roads surfaced nicely and make sure everybody is educated to a high standard (obviously not). If so please go ahead and start a campaign to overthrow this evil dictatorship. Maybe give the white house a call?
TA is not a democracy....it's a free website and resource and if you don't like the way it's run you're welcome to post suggestions in the appropriate forum, or alternativly make your own site where you can decide what's acceptable and what isn't. |
