But more to the point why pick an actor who will have to force an accent rather than choosing one who's accent comes natuarally?
(and wasn't Ian Fleming's original James Bond Scottish anyway? That's why Connery was the best. :D) |

i mean ffs there arent that many english bonds about so who gives a damn... as long as they sound british full stop i dont think it matters too much, if bana does a bad job then he'll be given the ass like lazenby did... its going to be interesting to see how he looks with a part in his hair and looking suave and classy |

| bosnan was welsh and he doesnt sound welsh in bond. does that mean that bana will sound australian? the guy can act, man - and bond's rep is sexual as much as it is english. the actor that plays bond has got to have a degree of sexuality behind him such as connery, brosnan etc. after doing troy and not having any major films that are going to give him a bad reputation (eg Brad Pitt: he is "sexy" however he plays nothing but playboy roles) - yes the hulk was a flop but in terms of symbollic effect it didnt exactly do much to bana's rep. when people think of hugh jackman i'm sure that they more likely think of him in X-Men rather than a bond role. Clive owen wouldnt really work because of his zoolander role, Hugh Grant has only got romantic comedies behind him, and Mel Gibson is old... name more and i'll shoot them down |

he did those BWM short movies. And some crap movie with angelenia jolie, but he would still make a good bond IMO. |

what about the guy that played lancelot or arthur in the recent king arthur flick... personally i reckon a no-namer would do better at being the image of bond
