YUP.. I second that... and besides.. the rotation of 12-15 'mainly' house djs that get booked in this city only tend to stick in your head after a week because another lineup has been announced with them on it again. :tongue3
maybe that's a slight exageration.. but I used to expect that you could rely on seeing the BIG name headliners about once every 12-18 months, which, I think would be ideal.. now you see a fraction of them 3 times as often.
ya ya it's a cycle.. but as a fairly regular patron I'm going to give my feedback anyway. ;) |

There was a time in Montreal when those techno djs *did* pack the place... hence our frustration.. it's not like we're bitchin here wishing for some I Love Techno lineup, but techno bookings have gone downhill in Montreal, hell I've said it 395959 times but even Toronto has better bookings as of late.
And as for your comment on the promoters.. no mystery there, it's all about the $$, especially with the current state of the club scene in montreal. Doesn't mean it's always the best business practice, short term solution maybe. It does little to enrich or grow the very scene they are 'promoting' ;) |

1-Infected Mushroom
2-Tiesto
3-Carl Cox
and maybe Sasha. |
