Has anyone ever taken one, also do the detoxifiying shampoos work?
I have to take one next week and I got the shampoo. It says to use the shampoo right before the test and it will last 8 hours but any hair that is clipped will be left detoxifyied forever. |

i had one and they said my hair on my head was too short,...they then threatened to go to other parts of my body to get the hair i.e. shave some of my leg hair off,... i convinced them my hair was fine
but if you are getting a hair drug test then all i got to say is good luck b/c there really isnt much you can do... |

Don't they usually just do piss tests? Drug testing is gay. If you dont come to work stoned, why should the employer worry about it? Not such a strong argument though.. :-/
As for the shampoos, I know a couple ppeople that have used them, but unfortunantly, they didn't work all the time. Maybe the user didn't use em correctly or something though. Good luck with this though. While I was in highschool my school did hair drug tests...it was scarey, but fortuantly I never got 'randomly picked.' |

Some traces of drugs, THC, cocaine, opiates... are detectable along the strand of hair. It gives the tester an idea of how long the user has been at it.. although with cocaine it's harder to determine how long you've been using because it 'migrates' along the hair. They test the strand as well, I'm pretty sure. |

Why don't you just move out of the country and get away from drugtest bull like that.
This is going quite offtopic, but why do they call the U.S. the land of the free when clearly they have regulations for everything? Everybody always says "It's a free country", well, doesn't look very free to me.
Oh and this is nothing personal or anything, but I just thought about it. |

| It is not for work or school. But I need to pass the test to be eligible for a program to make some cash. Like $5,000 cash so its kinda important for me to pass the test. They have already done various blood tests on me but I didnt think they were for drugs, just to check blood type or medical history I assume. The didnt find anything, or at least they werent looking, but this time its a full medical exam including a hair follicle drug test. The shampoo I bought says they will give you double your money back if you dont pass the test. It says to wash your hair and then leave the detoxifying formula in your hair for 15 minutes then wash it out and it works for 8 hours but you cant put anything else in your hair or use a brush that may have toxins on it from previous use. So I am going to use it in the morning and go take the test. As for the hair. From what I hear the hair needs to be at least 1 inch long for them to be able to test it. They wont be able to take any hair from any part of my body other than my head. I will shave everything off the night before just to make sure. |

Do companies in the Netherlands check the criminal history of a person before they hire them? If so than one can take your argument and use it for that too.
Companies like to do drug tests to make sure they aren't getting a up in as much as they check criminal history to make sure they aren't getting a violent individual or someone who would committ fraud.
I think drug laws are retarded as well, however, it has nothing to do with being "free". To a company you can freely use all the drugs that you want, and they can't deny you any rights like the government can. They can, however, deny you a priviledge such as the job and it's their perogative to make that decision. |
