Anyone on here, or anyone got a girlfriend who has got the hormone implant thingy?
I'm debating getting that, trying the injections, or just remaining on the ever 'forgotten to take' pill. |

| i like the patch. i take it and i also worked at the site that makes it for a while, so i know a whole lot about how it works. i had a problem with remembering to take the pill and i dont with the patch. it is also the only birth control that uses norelgestimate (NGMN), ametabolite of norgestimate, which is used in Ortho TriCylen (OTC). For some reason the NGMN makes me a lot less insane than i used to get on OTC. but some people have told me it affects them the opposite and one girl told me her patches always fell off after 3 days (but i think she picked at it). anyway, the best way to know is to ask your doctor's recommendation. i would never go to the implant 1) cause i cant get it for free and 2) i think it is absolutely frightening. |

it is only approved to be worn in like 4 or 5 places and the ass is one of them. i dont wear it there cause it would show through my pants.
anyway i am having trouble connecting to the website right now but i know evra is approved in several countries in the EU but we had another site that made it for over there so i cant recall what specific countries were approved. i would be really surprised if england wasnt. |

it is more effective because you have a constant dose and you are less likely to forget. but other than that it works in the same way. unless you are fat. i think it is only approved if you are less than like 180 pounds... |
