Ummm... I know it's been said, but I have to mention it again:]
Adagio for Strings into Smack My Bitch Up? WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF?!?!?!?! I can't wait to hear that. |

It's weird, I tell ya. It doesn't ever actually get into the meanty bit of the song, it just mixes into and out of the classical sample. A bit strange really. He might as well have labelled it Samual Barber - Adagio For Strings, because in fairness, that's what's on the CD.
Well, I'm sure he knows what he's doing. I haven't listened to the rest of the CD yet, so I cant comment.
:)
EDIT: Actually, listening to it, it reminds me of the two Euphoria compilations by Jay Burnett. I've got both of them, and they're called 'Deeper Shades Of Euphoria'. I'd never heard anything from him until I bought the first one of those, but I was quite impressed with the diverse range of tunes that he'd mixed together. I think they wanted another compilation like that, and asked Ferry to have a go.
So if you like this Euphoria, check out the two mixed by Jay Burnett because they're fairly similar.

am listening to the 2nd cd atm...this is quite interesting as well as very relaxing :)
i'm not complaining but i likewise would not spend money on this compilation, whereas i've purchased some earlier Euphoria compilations... |

does ferry actually physically mix these? he'd need to match pretty fast
or is this done with software? |

when Tiesto mixes tracks in as random an order as this, it's 'experimental and daring'
When ferry does it's 'wtf is he on with here'
nice to see equal clarity :stongue: :stongue: |

Methinks that when Tiesto did something like this, he would be yelled at too :)
I do not know most of those tracks, but it seems like it's just a bunch of tracks put together rather than an actual quality mix.
I think I'll play this just as often as the rest of his CDs (or the CDs in those series). |

yeah i understand that, it is very random, and it might or might not work, but I don't think Ferry himself would have chosen them in that order, he's probably been given the tracks and told to put the pieces together, cos lets face it, smack my bitch up doesn't really fit amongst the others, and when did we last hear him play ATRC - he's barely played it afaik. |

Probably not, since it just stinks.

Probably yes :)
But that's only as far as I can say, in order to get a decisive answer, you should ask him himself I guess.. |

yeah, it's just a bit confusing since he originally stopped doing our Trance Nation cd's after being asked to mix 90% commercial stuff with 10% 'real' trance, so to see him mixing something this random is a bit weird. Still names like ferry/tijs/armin have all done amazing cd's in the past, maybe if we got ones of those qualities again we'd be able to stop moaning and enjoy a good selection again |

Stuff like the first few Magik and Innercity CD's might even get me back to listening to trance (every now and then, let's not overdo it) again, but I'd say that'll never happen again.. And it probably shouldn't. |
