Stuff like the first few Magik and Innercity CD's might even get me back to listening to trance (every now and then, let's not overdo it) again, but I'd say that'll never happen again.. And it probably shouldn't. |
lol i'm finding myself stuck on the older stuff (mainly 90s through to 2003 but less at that end) and more onto techy/techno and psy just as something different from the uplifting stuff that we have now which is a bit uninspired |

Boy, do we sound like old farts.
But hey, is there anything wrong with that? |

| WTF was ferry thinking?? I'm listening to the CD right now, and i must say, the mixing is SH*T and the tracklist look terrified. The Tracks are too short and not fit to each other!!! Ive had never listen to such bad ALBUM in a while!! Maybe the baddest of all!!!!!!!!! |

its just a simple money making compilation - they make money off everyone stupid enough to actually buy it
they use 'ferry corsten' to entice stupid gimps into buying the cd because they think its actually got something to do with him
he prob had very little say in choosing tracks
and prob didnt even mix it
they will just pay for the name.
MoS make money, ferry corsten makes money, and if you buy this you are stupid. |

I got the album, and it's average. Nothing spectactular. The 2nd CD was very dissapointing as I was hoping for a lot more 'euphoria'.
Think my favourite tracks had to be Gouryella's 'Ligaya' and Moonman's 'Galaxia'. Probably because Ferry was involved with both of them! The second half of Galaxia reminded me slightly of Moonman's 'Don't Be Afraid'!!!
Anyway, after reading the inlay I think he did mix at least some of it... |

lol have u guys seen the cheesy as advert for the cd!! Its really funny u have ferry standing in the booth (with motorcycle playing away)when all of a sudden he gets zapped to god knows where...
then it goes into this computer generated cartoon "like a jurgen vries music video" and u see this big head (meanwhile motorcycles still playing) then he gets zapped back into the booth. rite when the break of motorcycle ends and he flings his arms into the air(at the wrong time mite i also add lol)
Quite possibly the gayest advert ive ever seen lol, hilarious 45 seconds tho |

Infinite euphoria - what the f**k happenned.
Just Finished listening to Ferry's new mix CD for the first time.
Firstly, why were there 20 tracks on each CD. Some tracks lasted less than 90 seconds.
Some lasted more than 5 minutes. Most modern day trance tunes dont really kick in until at
least the 2 minute mark. How can u just mix the first minute of it.
Why the hell was Deepest blue 'its a sin', junkie Xl 'breezer' and Prodigy 'smack my bitch up
used on a mix Cd by such a talented DJ & producer.
On a positive note, he did use a lot of his own productions and remixes which, in a way softened
the blow from the 3 tracks I noted above.
I liked the remake of his moonman 'galaxia' track, also is latest offering under is own
name, 'sweet sorrow'. I would have prefered to have heard the thrillseekers remix, but never
mind.
I think this may be the last Euphroria album I buy if it has 20 tracks on an 80 minute CD.
Much prefer is mix CD's such as the two world tour CD's and the Global Trancemissions series.
I hope the Dance valley 2004 CD is a lot better than this. Otherwise this Guys reputution is
going to go down the toilet.
PS
are the tracklsitings for Dance Valley 2004 what somebody put on this forum?????????? |

I think a lot of people hgave missed the point with this album.
I don't know why they've called this infinite euphoria cos it implies that it's gonna be bang bang high energy uplfting trance from start to finish. Its not.
Like others have said, it's along the same lines as the deeper shades collections mixed by Jay Burnett.
Yes forty tracks does seem a lot and maybe they could have cut out a few here and there. But some are only a minute or so in length and merely used to make the album flow and give it a bit of diversity. There are many different textures of sound on here.
I think it's a good album and applaud Euphoria for breaking the mould again.
Though i too am a bit confused as to why Corsten's name is on it. Maybe he mixed it cos that way he got to include a lot of his own productions and that = more money.
But don't diss it until you have actaully listen to both cds in full.
It's a unique listening experience. |

There's no question its been mixed digitally a lot of the slow ambient chillout stuff get time stretched to fit with the uptempo stuff.
I think its good that its been mixed digitally, i think these compilations should go to the effort to make the mixing unique and technically flawless. Matt Darey is the god of this, as shown by pure euphoria. |
