As I'm getting more & more bored with todays tunes, I'm eagering for some good old pre2000 trance (i'm only into trance since 2001 or so).
Already have a good one:
Pulp Victim - The World '99 (Moonman Remix)
Be free to add some of your favs.

| I asked once and I got no answers so i'll ask again. What's the difference between epic trance in '99 and epic trance now? Anyone is allowed to answer, but there are really only about four or five people on these entire forums that I would actually listen to since they seem to have some idea of what they're talking about more than half the time. |

most uplifting traxx would be(off the top of my head):
Humate - love stimulation
Chicane - Offshore(Disco Citizen remix)

hm, I'd say the '99 stuff is more simple and original than nowadays. |

the concept is still the same. the only difference is that the tunes were much simpler back then. nowadays there are loads of sounds and effects in a track.. some may say that today's uplifting trance is 'overproduced'. the tracks are a lot techier as well, with lots of metallic stabs and whatnot.
contrary to what a lot of people are saying, trance has not become boring. there's still lots of new and interesting stuff coming out, just like five years ago. the problem is that, with the internet, we now have the opportunity to listen to about every release, whereas five years ago we weren't as 'involved' in the scene as we are now. the sets were full of surprises and tracks we didn't hear before, but now they're not since we know a huge amount of the tracks already. the more you are involved in something, the faster you'll get bored with it, which is the case here. people's tastes evolve much faster.. which is why we've seen a lot of those 'trance is dead'-threads this year.
i'm glad that Gladius put "trance bores me" instead of "trance is dead". because trance is not dead at all.. the DJ Mag top 3 wouldn't consist off trance DJ's if it was. people's tastes have just evolved. |

Bunch of older PVD stuff: For An Angel, etc. (get Global CD/DVD).
Old Ferry & Veracocha: Carte Blanche, Madagascar
Agnelli & Nelson: Everyday, Every moment, Every time
PPK: Resurrection
Koglin: The Silence
Chicane, et al
I agree, '94-'99 was the golden age of trance (TO ME, just so we're clear, JMO). I belong in the "today's trance is too overproduced" bandwagon so I'm enjoying the simpler stuff that comes out more recently, some DnB, etc. but mostly just burning holes in my HDs and CDs and waiting for the next remix of the oldies LOL
