TWO thumbs up for Labour of Love!!

I caught the end Of Nic Fanciulli's set and was so so glad I did. I have heard how great he is and was dying to see him live. Now that I have, I will definitely be seeing him again. He really impressed me. Also, a great warm up for the STAR of the night..Sander in K, as Brian said. :p

SANDER:
OMG. Sander was just amazing! I always love his sets, but he was REALLY throwing it down on this occasion. I loved his energy and was thrilled to hear a lot of new stuff that just blew me away. The crowd loved him, he was smiling, it was so great. Such a happy atmosphere with all the NYTAs in front and in back of the booth dancing their asses off! Sander was definitely the highlight of my the night..I could have gone home right after his set and been happy. I hope someone can post a tracklist ...so many songs I loved. And ps: I was completely sober for his entire set but I felt higher than ever before because his set just lifted me off the ground. There is no better drug than the music.

Thanks to Brian for sticking around the whole set and sharing my affinity with Sander. Once you get a real dose of him, you can't help but be a Sander K Whore!

DEEP DISH
I was outside on "the terrace" aka "the porch" aka the Patio (NOT charlies) for the beginning of their set. There was a couch, some friends and mirrored walls that swallowed me until I heard FLASHDANCE and skyrocketed to the dancefloor. but i was back outside in no time for the heat was unbearable. You could hear the music really well in this outside area, so I just chilled and enjoyed the dark beats. I really enjoy deep dish but I felt that having such a long set in the main room @ Guvernment changed the whole vibe of Guv too quickly. There's a huge difference between Sander and DD and the vibe/mood did a total 180.

Infusion
Brian eventually pulled us from our little lovefest on the terrace and we headed over to KoolHaus for the end of Infusion. I had wanted to catch their whole set but the idea of fighting my way through the heated crowd kept me away for a bit. I have to say, I ABSOLULTELY LOVED THEM for the short time I got to hear them. HOLY their beats were just mad! Mad i tell you! I wanted to dance through the floor. Those beats just took over your body..it was awesome. Still hot as hell though and we didn't stay too long...but I can't wait to see them again! unbelievable.

the rest
Gotta luv the guv in general. Fabulous venue. The heat sent us upstairs to Skybar which was so reminiscent of the Space Terrace that Joel asked "Now where in Florida are we again?" lmao. what a night! We left around 7, totally satisfied. I am sorry I didn't get to see Ferry or Nu Nrg but I had a wonderful time with my friends. I love you all to death and it was so damn great to have everyone together in Toronto. Special thanks to my girl Sayward for attending. It was her first club/party experience and she rocked it out proper!

ps: TOTAs rock. You guys are lovely. Sorry I didn't go to the meetup, but I couldn't leave Sander. :p

Sander and Ferry ing rocked the house so hard i couldnt even describe it. I liked Deep Dish as well but they were too technical with the equipment throwing in loops, effects, and vocals. Really though, they rocked from around 1:30 to 8 in the morning and the room was still packed when we left. Toronto loves Deep Dish!

Overall, the turnout for the event was MASSIVE and the canadian crowd is really chill and nice.

This was definitely worth the trip from Chicago!!

Absolutely agree with your assesment of Deep Dish. And Ferry definitely was on fire. I wish I could have caught more of Sander K especially after all the positive reviews. Oh well!!

Busy - it was good to meet you during Deep Dish. Wish I could have partied with the rest of the NYTA though. Maybe next time.

that is new move vlad practiced all night.. Right above Sander, I swear most of the club were observing vlad, rather than Sander K - Vlad was more entertaining to watch+

My review and 2 cents..
Big thanks to Natalie (aka Tatgirl) for hosting the amazing BBQ party, having a bunch of great Local Dj talent and her hospitality.
Met many Totonto TAs and those guys know how to PARTY & Have fun..
Also, I wanna thank all the TA crue was making this one of the best weekends of my life. U guys provided all the vibe, all the fun and support anyone could have ever needed..
Great meeting many of you!!!! didnt get to talk much to cobra commaner, he seems to be much more talkative on AIM.. lol..
Guvernment is awesome venue!!!! first time there - had good time.. opened and closed the venue...
Sander K - OH MY God.. Simply amazing set!!! 2 hours of all out amazing music...
Deep dish - worst DJ talent ever.. He reminded me of JP with lots of fillers and gay radio songs in between... no flow in the set, nothing. now I understand why people saying he puts them to sleep..
Labour of LOVE...Got a piece of #2 in Canada.. All I gotta say is that Canadian girls ROCK!!!! Totally down to Earth, totally open with you, no I am cute and stock up bull u get with most american girls here... LA viva Canadiens!!!
Big thanks again to all the TAs for making this event one sick weekend!!!
