| For everyone that has been listening to trance for a while knows that Oakenfold is one of the greatest and one of the many pioneers of trance. He has done so much to get trance where it is today. All you circus trance clowns that talk about Oakie saying he plays old tracks and he gets drunk when he spins. SO what, to everyone that likes and respects him knows he puts on a good set everytime. And to all you people who think Tiesto is so much better and blah blah blah look closely at the tracklistings. They play many of the same tracks and have a similar style to how they present there music. |

| Oakenfold come on hes not a real Pioneer of the music...geez what are u guys thinking about ...hes not that good of a producer never was so u cant be a pioneer for production aspect.... ohh ok he was one of the first to play in ibiza that style....well people were playing techno/trance before he showed up in ibiza..ohh and he brought the name trance to the US ... ok to really think about it thats not much of a pioneer im my book....doing something new is a pioneer hes mayb a pioneer to many newbies for trance thats about it .....but if u want to look at a true pioneer its TALLA 2xlc..... he wsa one of the first person to open a club solely deticated to trance/techno.... 80s/90s the typical club now that plays trance/techno is cuz of the original TechnoClub in Frankfurt... the person who organized and created the first loveparades was a pioneer to trance.... cuz loveparade paved the way to all other massives after that!! those are the the real pioneering things that made this music get out there for all us to hear ....Oakenfold is just a small timer compared to that stuff.... |

I can't believe how easily you guys forget about Paul van Dyk...
His XXL Clubnight set is the best live set I've heard all year, and I've ing heard lots :P
BTW, that Oakenfold tracklist is IDENTICAL to the set he played in Vancouver BC for Area One. I thought it was a good set, hardly innovative, but good. |

Well said! Bravo! I totally agree. Technoclub @ Space in Ibiza was SICK! I gotta get my ass to Germany, I'm all bout the German sound! Fast & hard just like I like it. ;) Christ I fell in love with a German my last wk in Ibiza but thats another story. hehe now I have a penpal. I'm straying...anyhoo Oakie went to Ibiza in the late 70's & took pills that hardly qualifies as being a pioneer.
Oakie is washed up. He needs to grow some balls & play new records no one else is playing. |

| Well bascially look at it this way the true Pioneers of the Baleric sound was Paul Oakenfold, Danny Rampling, and Nicky Holloway, they started up almost everything there. also look to the Djs who play at space week in and week out on the terrace they along with Pacha created the Baeleric scene, when people mean Oakie as a pioneer they mean he was part of starting the scene in Ibiza not a pioneer of music itself, along with the people who spun at clubs like Pacha in the olden days, hahaha and respect to that saying that Talla 2xlc a pioneer because yes I think he his with his Trance Techno crossover (Tech Trance), but u need to think of who's the real Ibiza lengends and most who'll crop up will be House Djs as much as I hate to say it but the House Djs will be the biggest Lengends of the island. |

| Im not an Oakenfold fan at all and I have seen him play but you've got to hand it to him when he finishes the set with CJ Bollands' - The Prophet what a track! Personally I think he needs to stop dancin' round the stage and concentrate on his mixing!:cool: :cool: :cool: |

ITS ALL ABOUT SPACE, THE TECHNOCLUBS AND TALLA 2XLC!!!
talla is a true pioneer, not only has he been around for ages and made his own club, he's also helped start off the careers of alot of awsome dj's, including dj taucher :)
