Using cracked versions of software (pg. 4)

I understand alot of the arguments that have been said here. Yes, those who download the software often dont care about production that seriously, and only mean it for a part-time hobby. Yes, I understand that many people used cracked software until they make money off their art which allows them to buy real software. And yers, I understand that the majority of software downloaders would never consider spending a dime anyways. While these and others are good arguments, it still boils down to stealing.

But Im not so worried about all that. My biggest complaint is people who complain that they lose projects and work when they are using cracked sfotware. Or even more annoying, when their cracks dont work at all and they think they have some sort of right to bitch. If you didnt pay for the software, you have no right to complain and no right to ask for or receive help. This is just my opinion as I said before. Now im interested to hear what you think of this statement, if anyone cares to post about it.

You people have got me all wrong... I check things out before I buy them, anything i find legitimately useful I pay for - anything i don't, I obviously DON'T use. I was simply saying that alot (most?) people dont have enough money for this stuff straight off the bat.

What kind of a moron would go and spend $6,000+ on something theyre not even sure they are going to like? Lets face it, demos aren't going to get you very far in relation to that problem... Well, not me anyway.

You're all full of bull anyway, i'd say at least half the people here who are saying they are totally legit are lying just to prove a stupid point. This is apparent in the fact that you always have the latest songs in your signatures - anyone who can keep that up to date must either be rich as, or living in a gutter (but with lots of music), or downloading everything...

What a lame attempt to soothe your own guilt.

And why the hell doest this brat think he's got the rights to steal ?
Its not a human right to play with or produce music, or steal, regardless of how much of a Tiesto-fanboy you are.

That pretty much sums it up for me aswell. And saying it's not ok to have to work hard and long to buy expensive stuff is WRONG, is just plain stupid if you ask me. You would be saying that the rich can go skiing 3 times a year, this is unfair, so you would steal to go skiiing 3 times a year, and that would make it right.

So does that justify stealing ? What an idiot.
I would like a Ferrari, but cant afford, so i have the right to steal one ?

If you can't afford it, then you don't have the right to it, and certanly not the right to steal it.
Its the most basic form of law and moral. Get a grip.

And it is still very illegal, and crimminal to steal something, regardless of anyone not directly losing money.

Can we all rob and steal from rich people then ?

But i guess its hopeless trying to talk sense into ignorant download-everything-generation-kids like you.

Why did people call this childish, this is a perfectly good argument. This example shows us exactly the same as stealing music, only your brains can't handle the comparison so you call this guy a stupid child ? Wtf ? He is right. 'But wouldnt you .. if you could'. Those aren't arguments to tell him he is wrong, those are 'what if' clauses, which mean absolutely in life.

I get pissed when I read 'But I can't afford, do you expect me to work for years and years ?' WELL YES ! I couldn't buy a car either when I turned 18, but the richer kids, or the kids who had been working in the week-end could buy one. Oh no ! Life is so unfair ! I want one I want one, lemme steal one... sjeez I just got a job aswell and bought the car a little later then the others, big friggin deal. Just work for it if you can't afford it yet. And now you may call me an old fart or something, but keep in mind I'm only 20, so I'm not some old conservative person, I just happen to see the difference between right and wrong where many people fail to do so.

Don't keep doing the downloading stuff vs. stealing a car analogy, it's simply not the same!

No matter how much you keep saying that the world just isn't as black and white as you make it out to be.
