Ain't that the truth. I live across the street from a church.. DAMN!!!! those chicks are HOT AS HELL. excuse the pun.

Church girls do tend to be hot, especially mormons, but they are impossible to date if you are like me.

Unfortunatly the night scene around my area is really lame. The only girls that go to bars and clubs are not quality. Joining clubs seems like good advice, then I can meet people that actually like the things I do. Maybe I can start a Portland TA clubgoer club...

Join a club of some sort, not a clan or whatever. Like do something inter-school, or out of school like weekend soccer or tennis or some.

Go bowling, go out, go to parties. Meeting people through work and school is pretty damn easy.

you won't see a heathen like me there, but generally a good neutral place to socialize.

N.B. don't try & pick up at funeral masses

Get into drugs like E and coke if you are not already. You will meet a ton of people that way and make a bunch of friends. You will have no problems talking to people because you are on drugs. Although not all of the people you meet will be the type of people you want to hang with.

I suggest just smiling, and talking to people. I'm not the most socially adept person, but I still have met a ton of cool people. FE, I met this cool couple at the club the last time I went. All I did was say hi, and start talking about music, etc. *shrug* I'll prolly hang out with them again in the coming months (the only problem being that one of lives in Canada, and I do not.)

Get a shirt that says "Small Penis" with an arrow pointing towards your crotch.

Instant conversations..

Oh, i thught of a few ice breakers.

Things I always have with me, just to break the ice with new people...

1. a lighter
2. a pen
3. gum/breath mints

You'd be surprised at how many people you can start conversations with by lighting a cigarette for them...

Just get really drunk and go to a party or club.

That way you dont have to worry about making an ass of yourself, cause everyone will just realise you're out of control ;)

on a more serious note, I think it’s hard to meet new people if you aren’t involved in anything like school or sports or whatever. right now I’m just working and waiting for school to start in October and it has been really hard for me to meet girls in the meantime. Well I shouldn’t say “meet”, more like it’s been hard to keep the friends I meet, and i don't think it's me either. I’ve tried to hang out with 2 girls that I met on 2 different occasions and they were total sellouts. I invited them out to south beach (they wouldn’t have even had to pay for anything, so that couldn’t have been the reason why they didn’t go at the last minute), and both times the plans fell through. girls are weird down here. it’s so much harder to find girlfriends especially because girls are usually already in a “group” that they’ve known for a while, so I feel like an outcast automatically.

i better meet some cool girls when i start school.

im not a very gregarious social person. but i often end up talking to random strangers cuz my good friend does. Lol... i, forced to make small talks w/ ppl. it helps when uve got alcohol in your system too! :o

i met this one really awesome chick when i was @ work. i work retail and she was a customer and we got chummy and that was like two months ago and weve become really good friends. weird encounter for sure. but im definitely glad that i became friends w/ her cuz shes like a long lost sister. sadly, she goes to school in france and was only back for summer break so she left couple of days ago but, shes moving back next year so im sure well hit it up togeather again in the near future. :) never would have i thought id become very good friends w/ a customer from work but i guess anythings possible!

oh yeah, workin in the service field... like retail, waitering, etc etc. it requires you to engage with ppl socially. yeah of course, its superficial at first but you never know the ppl youll end up meeting! :) and plus, it makes you appreciate good service & good attitude.
