There's always something. I might go to the Fevah party on Saturday @ the Gothic. Deepsky and a bunch of others. Friday? Maybe Syn. I am playing at Syn tonight, if you feel like stopping by. A friend and I tag 10-12. It's usually pretty chill on Monday's though. Still fun, but not anywhere near crowded. Cheap drinks though.

boomer, i really don't want to be bothered with buying a computer piece by piece and then having someone put it together. i know it's probably a lot cheaper, but i'm far from a computer geek and wouldn't know where to start...your message was like chinese to me. lol

nite-mer i'll PM you.

of course i want a kick ass system, but right now, i just want the bare minimum. i'll upgrade later to a nicer monitor and stuff.

I'm not gonna spend that kind of money, but it depends on your needs. They are badass! Brand?

i understand perfectly what you are asking for.. the biggest question in your mind is "QUANTITY vs QUALITY" .. what would you choose ?? dell or self - built?? to tell you the truth, both are the same thing, it's just that dell puts their name on it, and everyone "believes" that it is better than self-built.

if there is a local shop that does custom builds for you, then you can go there .. would you rather buy a regular phone modem for $20(dell) or $7(a local company) which practically does the same thing ??

the only BIGGEST difference between dell and custom computers are that custom computers offer A LOT of space for expansion (such as PCI slots for more sound cards, video cards, Ethernet cards, etc cards that may come out) .. dell gives you a limited amount of space .. also custom computers are more flashy, like those neon lights on the side, if you like that, and also offer a coolant agent inside your computer, to prevent your computer from overburning .. dell does not have that, because they want your computer to overburn, so you can buy their extended warranty .. hmmm... :nervous: :nervous:

but that's just my point ..

QUALITY vs QUANTITY ...
Slylee
^^^ well after you put it all that way, then i'd rather get the self built kind, because even though i'm trying not to spend a lot of money on one now, i definitely want to upgrade later. i like the colorful cases and all that stuff you mentioned too:)

thanks.
