That would eventually lead to people pissing off to forums where the artist don't actually act as high and mighty as they do here and actually care about the listeners enough to put a decent bitrate up.
Luke, what's the idea of having rules here in the first place if you let it slide every time there's some "bigger" name posting against the rules? This isn't the first time this has happened either. If this was made "just for fun" then why is the bitrate so low? If it was just for fun then where does the label issue step in?
If things keep going this way then I don't really feel like coming here at all, there are plenty of places where people give out full tracks at a listenable bitrate. 32kbps is just taking the piss. It's like pissing on your fans' shoes when trying to thank them.

I'd have to agree with Nik here, while it's understandable that Jezper doesn't want his tracks to get out, he could either sample it, tweak it a lot or offer something even closer like 96kbps which isn't perfect but would be understood since the track might be signed. The problem here is that there are lots of people who are as good as Jezper who are not uptight about posting better quality samples, as said before, guys like Haak, MK-S, Santiago Nino, George Hales, Luke, Echano, Nik and many others are happy doing so, so I can totally understand their frustrations here. I know you haven't been here as long as some, but believe me there is so much talent willing to offer better quality samples, it could be construed as a kick in the teeth to people who offer better quality. At the end of the day too, if Jezper or yourself or anyone else cannot take constructive criticisms to either the quality of sample or indeed what is in it, then there is little part being a part of a forum, would you rather everyone praised everything you did when nothing is perfect ? |

i post high quality samples, but thats just because i want to so that i can get more accurate feedback. all im doing is defending those who dont want to because i dont think that its fair for people to kick up such a fuss about something that has absolutely no effect on them. you could say its a kick in the teeth of those who post better samples.. but to think of it like that is quite childish.

Chilling out isn't going to change my opinion.
Just think about it. Would you post a 32kbps track up here and actually expect people to praise you for that? I mean it just isn't listenable. |

| ok so let him post a 32 kbs sample and if no one praises him for it so be it. i have seen some constructive points raised about the track allready,so hes getting something out of posting it here. all im saying is if you dont like it then leave it. it doesnt matter. if people want to post on it they will. not as many ppl will, but so be it, does it matter to you that not many ppl will post? |
