And one last thing, Sasha and Digweed are better together because they balance each other. Sasha brings Digweed's creativity side up and Digweed fleshes out Sasha's wild experimentations. It's like Lennon and McCartney of the Beatles. One's the heart and the other the brain.
Just take a look at the Northern Exposure series.. truly great classic stuff!!
The Delta Heavy Tour was on! |

THANK YOU!! i hate how everyone says Sasha puts them to sleep. you must be a ing boring person to just think sasha's music is boring. pvd is predictable and every track he plays sounds the same.
SASHA OWNS YOU ALL!!!:D |
at the end of the day though, you used to say armin was better than pvd too..
diagnosis: irrelevant opinion. ;)

Markus Schulz plays the kind of style that Sasha has moved on from 8/9 years ago. If you want that kind of sound but from someone who isn't stuck in the past on other people's styles and idea's turn to Ben Lost! ;) |

I have like 10 Ben Lost mixes.. they are good but I like Markus Schulz better. I have old 1997 Sasha mixes and it's different IMO.
I haven't seen Markus Schulz live though and I wonder how that sound would play out in a club???? |

i don't like using that this thread is basically using ONE little party as some kind of final comparison between sasha and paul van dyk. in fact, i think it's a wreckless way to go. yeah, i love paul van dyk. he is my favorite dj. but i like a lot of other djs, and amongst them sasha owns all. i love what he does.... and i loved what he did this night.
but if anything, you people should see the respect with which sasha turned the decks over to paul van dyk, and the friendship that they have. it is true, sasha is kind of arrogant but it is also true that he has a very sophisticated style. now someone of this kind of elevation associated with his name is not going to be this way with a dj of no substance. if sasha can see what's special about paul van dyk does, i don't undrestand why all of his freaking fans cannot. what a stupid argument..... and whoever has the balls to say that pvd wasn't a head of his time from 92-2000 is a in idiot. if tech trance is the signature sound for him today, and you don't like, just leave it alone. all you people know as well as i do, from having seen the extended sets, that a few more hours with paul van dyk means a very different thing. when he plays short, he is all about holding the energy level high, that's what set his style aside in that one hour he played that night.
my two cents.
i will always love sasha. i will always love paul van dyk. they are both leaders in their own right. |
