I love'em all but if you just are looking for a dj to consistantly give you an uplifting rush then I would definitaly go with Ferry. He keeps me moving through an entire track in almost all of his tracks. Tiesto is great for putting you in a state where you just zone out and really get a feel for the music. Gawd I am horrible at explaining but I guess that is what is so great about trance and the like. It is all your interpretation and what you make of the music.
Edit: Just reread my reply and I definitaly didnt answer your question. Hehe, sorry. I see them all as completely different DJs though. If you mean consistent with their past work and what they are doing now then I personally couldnt give you a great answer. But from what I do know, they do all seem to be giving us the general same feel as they always have through their tracks. Although, I have been listenin to a bit more Armen lately and some of the tracks I listen to are sometimes a bit of a surprise to me. You get a different feel more from Armen then the other DJs I believe... but in a sense that is a good thing. I like a dynamic DJ as opposed to one that is predictable though. Makes the music listening experiance that much more enjoyable. |

How can you ask which one is both versatile AND consistent? Being versatile implies that you are NOT consistent, and vice versa. |

hmmm
I think PvD is the most talented of the bunch and certainly his history shows he knows how to make tracks. I think the PvD kick is wearing thin at times and so is his deejay sets but I think PvD was the best of the 4 historically and the most reliable. If you think about it, Ferry has changed his sound, Armin has changed his sound and so has Tiesto but Paul has not really changed much over the last few years. |

versatile meaning soemone who can reach out in different direction in producing while still delivering the goods on a consitant level. of course you can be both. ;) |

| As a producer? Definitely Ferry. He has changed his style radically. Armin is a good producer, in various styles, but I'd say that Ferry is more consistent. PvD keeps relying on the same (noticeable) elements too much and Tiësto has lacked consistency over the years. |
