Tiesto sucks.

BWAHHHHHHHHHAHHHHHHHAHHHHHHHAHHHHHHA.

I think Tiesto sucks whether he plays for the olympics or in his basement. But hey, you gotta respect the fact that he pulled off the olympics. Any one of you guys would do it if you had the chance so I agree that hating a DJ because they are successful is dumb.

But I still think Tiesto sucks LOL

Just because you don't like a particular DJ's music, doesn't mean they suck. For example, I hate techno. I can't stand listening to it. I would never say that sven vath SUCKS, because to some he doesn't at all. I would simply say that I don't like his style of music !

Many poeple think Tiesto is great, so stop being so negative.

k i gave my reasons why i say out loud why tiesto sucks....

how bout telling the prog haters to stop saying that prog sucks as well too??? u cant can u...

i think ferry corsten sucks balls as a dj but i love his productions and himself as well as armin may be cheesy and all that but u see me saying anything about them?? nah...cos they cool..they arent overrated like tiesto.. "omg tiesto..hes such a god...he can realyl use that crossfade slider like a muha"

i remember when i saw tiesto at the docks....so many of those peopel didnt even know who he was..they just came for it cos they heard that "the #1 dj in the world" was spining

quote of that night "is that tiesto on right now??? im his biggest fan"- sure buddy ur standing right in front of the stage and supposedly worship him yet u dont knwo how the he looks?
arek
i think most people are hypnotized by tiesto's tight tshirts and bulging nipples.

tiesto is a sellout, he's releasing a polka trance cd for the older generation.

i love the fact that anytime an argunement about if a dj is good or not, or if somebody likes him or not, the question of cross fading comes up. If somebody puts up a good set, fine then.

I do seem to remember Oakenfold being pretty much the same way. He didnt do THAT much with his mixing, it was mostly cross fade over. BUT, everybody here will agree that he used to spin the most incredible sets.

I dont understand whast wrong with seeing "the worlds biggest dj". If i was new to a genre music, and wanted to check it out, why wouldnt i see the "worlds best"? It may not be "class" but who knows, the guy may actually enjoy it. People gotta start somewhere you know.

for the record:
Sasha
Zabiela
Holden
JXL
ARE ALL TOP NOTCH IN MY BOOKS!!! I love their sets/productions

PS - if half the producers/djs i listen to got up on stage, i wouldnt even know it! but i know their music/styles, and thats what matters. Knowing everything about an artist, is the popy-North american thing to do. their fav colour, their dogs name, like that is uselss. know the music, forget the face!
Orko
as for DJs playing the same stuff....

The only reason it seems so, is because of how many live sets/per they record and are distributed over the internet. Think back, how many sets/year did djs put out during 99, or so. Definatly not as many, hence why their tracklists seemed fresher and more varied.

but i do agree that Tiesto's sets arent as good anymore.

Well there isn't anything wrong with it. Maybe I can shed some light on the trend(s) you're quite rightly noticing. (purely my own speculation btw)

I think we tend to bash top 5 DJ's because as being so deeply embedded (and thus forth usually educated) in the scene we tend to know what qualifies as "talent" or "hype". We all have a certain level of respect for the big boys, but it wouldn't really lend much in the way of showing our credibility if all we did was gag over the anthems.

The top 5 DJ's also tend to carry along with them a lot of stories about their usual arrogant attitude, which doesn't tend to help their rep with the true fans. (the ones who got them there in the first place)

I could also go on and on about the new talent really being exciting and bringing that spirit/ passion/ drive that we used to see in the heavy hitters that faded away long ago with heavy touring and big paycheques. And isn't it human nature to support the underdogs as well?

p.s oakey tomorrow kids. z00t
