but this isnt a direct attack on jamie..this is an attack on every singlke person out there who claims or expects they're going to be rich
you want to know what it takes to be rich? get someone to drown you and right before u pass out they take ur head up above water. U got to want it more then that breath of air. thats what makes people rich. thats what ambition is. |

not even to mention that ur whole goal in life, ur total focus has to be on ghetting rich and you have to ask the right questions. and the right question isnt how am i going to be the richest man on this planet. You think bill gates asked that question? no. he asked himself the right question. How am i going to get microsoft into every single computer out there? thats most likely the question he asked himself. im sorry but you have to have the right frame of mind in order to be rich or successful. and if you dont have that frame of mind and you dont have the luck to back it up, your going to be a pawn like everyone else.
so its great that you guys want to be successful, but that isnt good enough. instead of worrying about how you spend your mnoney why dont you worry about how to bring your ambition to the next level? why dont you worry about making your first move?
edit: but i just reread the original post and i went on abt something else that doesnt totally relate. tho its a good lesson to learn. you want to know how to stop spending? have a financial goal. you want to save up this much by the end of the month, and u try to reach that goal every minute of every day. <---best advice i can give you |

well definee what u mean by rich do u mean the 100k salary figure or the 200k salary figure or the millionaires...i mean for each one its different.. |

| well tell u the truh 100k isnt rich anymore.. im speaking abt in the millions. thats being rich. being wealthy on the other hand u need serious coin. serious coin as in the next 4 generations of your family are set for life. i consider professional sports players rich not wealthy. |

well if you mean in the millions than yea it is waaaay too hard in todays age..all the good ideas r taken,the competition is high so being a millionaire needs alot of effort and help..a 9 to 5 wont do it even if u r a VP or something..but i dont think thats what jamie had in mind..i think she meant more as to be financially stable and comfertable.. |

| well if you're a hustler with no education, maybe that's how you should go about it. but i think most of us are just working a dumb job now that gets the bills paid while we go to college. it's not gonna happen over night...at least not for me. in the meantime, i just wanted to get tips on how to resist the temptation to spend my money, because when i graduate college and i have a career, i won't be able to save or get anywhere unless i start working on this problem now. |

yea 100k is nothing... and it depends on what part of the country you live in too. in NYC 100k a year is like average/below average. |

most people that own large corporations are hustler with very limited education lol.
but i dont want to make millions if thats what ur getting at. i want to be involved or start something thatll change the world. id do it for nothing if i could. but i cant because i know of no worthy movements and i wouldnt know where to begin. I was just trying to give you some insight.
and i what i said in my previous' posts dont just go for money. it goes for everything in life. unless u want to work in an office for 30 g;s a year. well then sure u dont really got to be motivated in order to do that. but if u want to be wealthy with alot of spending cash u got to be willing to be the best at whatever u do. and that takes some serious commitment and some serious ambition |

no i think i'll be extremely happy in my career. i'm not just aiming for money. i'm too principled and i have to be doing something i'm passionate about. i'm very people oriented and i work great under pressure and i'm extremely creative. so i think an advertising executive is a very suitable career for me. i can just see myself doing that. will i be a multi millionaire? probably not. i'd sure like to try to make a million in this lifetime...even if it means i'll be investing in real estate on the side to get to that point.
my boyfriend made the mistake of chosing a career just for money. he could give two s about people's health and backs. all his patients are just trying to get a buck anyway, suing insurance companies from dumb car accidents. lol he cares about working less and making more. he's not the happiest in his career. well today he made partner, so that's better, but still. he'd rather be golfing, collecting a check every month like his boss who owns all the clinics...so i guess that's his goal...and he's extremely driven and smart, so i'm sure he'll accomplish that goal in less than 5 years.
and people who own large corporations aren't huslters...it's the small business owners who are... |
