holy ! what else can i say? tiesto rocked our asses hard! it's weird to say, but to me it really wasn't about the music that night. it was about the crowd. i finally got to meet a load of ta's and that just made my night! i met way too many of you guys that night so instead of trying to name everyone, i'll just say that it was more than a pleasure to be partying with all you ta's and wow, we gotta do it again soon!
trancearmada
I got to the parking lot of the GUV at around 9:50 was waiting for a couple of you TA's there. Did not see anyone, but met a couple of nice people from Detroit. Later they asked me whether I could hook them up with some E. Went to the lineup at around 10:30.
Got into the line waited for about 20 min, I was frizing my ass off!
Got in, took me about 2 min to get my coat in the coat check.
Got me a drink walked over to the meeting spot, was trying to look for any TA's t-shirts. Did not see any till about 4 am. Waited around for an hour or so. Matt Coleridge had a good set, never heard of the guy before, he played some really good stuff before Tiesto came on. Met Kytracid only cause I remembered him mentioning that he will wear a black NY Yankees hat.
So at around 12 ArcticBoy ran into me. We waited at the meet up spot. Waited from 12:00-12:45 no one really showed up we ran into another TA sorry can't remember your name, I had a few drink right before it. At around 12:45 I ran over to a bar got me a Rev and a bottle of water. Checked the meet up spot again. Met another guy, he told me that he does not usually post on the forum only reads it for the info.
So 3 of us decided to move up to the front to see Tiesto a little better. Got to the front. And that's when all the strated.
But before me, arcitcboy and another TA took a pic of us. He explained that they were selling disposable cameras by the entrance for guess how much? $15! what a ing RIP OFF!

It was not crowded at first at all, lot's of room to dance. Matt Coleridge dropped some really nice techno.
Than out of nowhere like a thousand people rushed to the front.

I am sorry to say this but for the most part (excluding all the TA's that I met up with later on) I ing hated the crowded. I started a conversation with this guy. He told me how he is a "DJ"! He told me that he spins at his own parties. I asked him what kind of music do you play. He told me "TRANCE MAN!". SO I was like OK. What kind of trance? Epic? Progressive? He goes "No man buildups it's all about build-ups! SO I ask him what's your fave tracks of the moment, he is like I really like a tune by Comander Tom from '92! I was like yeah but is it not techno? Yeah you can tell he "knows" alot about the music. (Since any sarcasm?) Than like 20 min before Tiesto came on. People mistakened this security guard for Tiesto and the all started yelling and waiving at him. I was kind of mad about it, it's like half the people don't even know what he looks like.
That this ing GINO walks over to me and starts pushing me! I push him back, so I was like WTF is your problem. He goes " you man, you want to start something". I told him to off, and asked him why he shoved me. HE was like "cause I am high and all ed up"! Gave me a dirty look. ing hate people like that!
Than all kinds of Gino's started showing me from every ing possible direction. Everyone was steping on my feet and giving me dirty looks in return. I was like " off asholes", not even an apology!?
Than this girl starts giving me dirty looks because she get in front of me and literally stands on my toes.
Than people start walking up to me and ask me about selling drugs to them. Than this girl starts critisizing me cause I think of pot as drugs. She was like "I don't do drugs only smoke pot! U got any?"
"I was like, no I get a natural high out of the music". She gave me a dirty look in return.
So as soon as Tiesto comes on, like 20 girls in front of me go "Look at him he is so HOT". WTF are you here to enjoy his looks? (Go to a ing Back Street Boys concert than!) Half the people there were just to do drugs, if not more than half people. And those ing Gino's irratated me so much, as much as I tried to not pay attention at me, some sweaty would run into me or step on my foot. This continued all night long.

As far as the set goes:
I thought he did a very predictable set, although he played some good old stuff as well as some new good stuff.
I loved the part where he threw on PPK! I was melting on the dancefloor, I was getting goosebumps and than he put on MIKE - Sunrise @ palamos. I ing loved it. The thing I hated about Souvenir De China was that the bass was way too ing up, all I heard was bass no melody what so ever, it might have been my ears too.
It was nice to finally meet about 20 of you TA's. That's the only thing I liked about the party, ppl like you coming out to support.
BTW on one of the flyers it said that "In My Memory (Album)" is gonna be released in Canada on Nov. 4 of this year.
Sorry to any TA's that I only talked for a short while, I was a bit drunk and really wanted to dance.
I was disapointed with Tiesto. As I said earlier he was very predictable.
Intro:
Hooligan - Hear You Now (grandchillas Mix)
he started off at least three more sets that I am aware of with this tune.
Urban Train!
My friend was like, Tiesto did not play Urban Train. I told him just wait he is going to play it for ancore, and surely as soon as I said that to him, Tiesto put it on.
As for PPK! I love PPK, I loved when he played it. It was just disapointing to see that Tiesto only plays it after it has began to go main stream. I heard the tune like 3 years ago, but it was nice to finally hear it in the club.
Also CJ Bolland - The Prophet
does not Tiesto like play it every ing time he has been in TOronto?

Few more up things that I hated about the Kool Haus. That rain shower at around 4 am! WTF! And Tiesto's needle jumped like 3 times and ed up a little. As for the headphones. I am sure from what I saw was that, Tiesto was having problems with them. He was tapping them constantly like every too minutes, so I think they just died on him and he decided to get rid of them. Looked like a nice gesture, but looks like he was gonna throw them away after the set anyways. Tiesto started late not at 1am like promised more like at 1:35 and played till aprox 4:35 am so that was ed up. Only 3 hours instead of 4? WTF?

The most ed up thing to ruin the end of the night for me was:
I went to the coat check at around 4:15, the coat check guy looks around for my sweater for like 15 and can't find it. I was so pissed he told me to just phone the GUV the next day or wait till the close. At this point I was so pissed! I had to drive home for like 30 min on QEW. I could have froze my ass off. I was tired, sleep and my legs were killing me (from dancing and all those s steping on my feet). IN addition I had to work on the same day from 1 - 9:30 pm, yeah no turkey dinner for me. ONly had some today.
So I stayed till around 6 am than the guy looks for it again and magically find it in like 30 sec's! WTF!

I was really disapointed with the way my night went, the set was dissapointing, some stuff was good. It was nice to finally meet some TA's and to hear a few good tunes.
But overall this was like the my worst clubbing experience by far. Tiesto did a job in comparion to the last time he played at Wintergalactic. Shot out to the SonicState crew again! That wintergalactic party was the best night of my life. I can't wait to hear PVD, i think he is gonna play an amazing set, from what I heard on the "Politics Of Dancing" I think we are all in for a big surprise, he is gonna rock the house. And also can't wait for Armin one of the top DJ's on my top 5 list. He is gonna blow everyone away!

SO in conclusion let me say the night was 20% FUN and 80% E!

! This has got to be the most intense night of my life. Tiesto was absolutely phenomenal, taking me on a beautifull trancendental journey. Never have I seen a DJ so in tune with his audience, shaping all of our movements with his blissfull style and energy. I never seen a crowd so unified and so ecstatic. We were all religiously moving to the beat of our God. I am absolutely speechless, words just don't do justice in describing last night... Tiesto really possesses a type of a magical gift, that very few DJs can come close to replicating. I was afraid that last night would not live up to its expectations, because I build it up to such a mythical status. To my surprise, it surpassed it!

Coming up for the weekend to see tiesto had to have been one of the best moves i have ever made. I dont think i can express in words how great a night i really had and i know the people reading this that i hung out with know what i am talking about. I dont believe anyone could have this much fun in one night but i most certainly did, but the music was only 50% of it. I must admit that the crowd was pretty ghetto with all the shirtless wonders walking around and all the people coming up to me asking for coke, but what made it amazing was the people i was with. Toronto is a great city and the Tranceaddicts that represent it do so in such an amazing way. Del, it was great freaking out in the back with you, fuzion, ramsey, and all the rest of your friends. Tsi, NRG, Skybreak, and TTA, you guys showed me a good time and were always around for a laugh that night. It was was great having you there. Chris, you gave us a place to stay and that in itself was cool as , but you also partied your ass off at tiesto and you and i were only part of a handful dancing till the end of the night. Shmack, always a smile on your face(sorry for being an arse) you keep us happy and on our feet all night. Without you none of us would have gotten together and you definately showed RR and I a good time in TO, so i thank you for 4 days i will never soon forget. I hope you feel better and good luck on your exams :)

Trancearmada, sorry to hear that you had such a miserable time, it really does seem like you were on a different planet. Perhaps, its your drug of choice. Ethanol can be quite a depressant, both on physiological, and psychological levels.:sadgreen:
