TranceArmada is prolly the 1 out of 2500 peeps who had no fun.

Hey, was that to the left of the meeting spot? Cause if so, that's where I was almost the whole night! |
Yup, almost right in front of the speaker on the left (Looking at the stage). I had a pair of jeans on and a blue t-shirt with some chinese lettering on the front and a dragon on the black (two shades of blue). |

| Hmm, I'm not sure I remember you... I was just between the opening of that speaker and the curtain in the center, and sometimes a lil behind there! I was wearing a baby blue long sleeved v-neck, baggy dark blue jeans, and white gloves... |

| Too bad you didn't have fun TranceArmada...I remember meeting you and I'm sorry i couldn't hang out with you for long (my friends from NY had come over for only 2 days and we decided to club togather). I have to say that although the crowd had it's share of Gino's, they didn't bother me that much. Having clubbed in NY Clubs like Twilo and Exit which are Gino Heavens I thought that the Gino to normal ppl ratio in Guvernment is not bad. In fact most of the Gino's I bumped into didn't give me any dirty looks (maybe it's cause i'm 6'5). Anyway I agree that although Tiesto set contained good tunes, it was very predictable. Having seen Tiesto Essential Mix tracklist i was kinda expecting a more experimental set, but it seems he played basically the same thing as he did in Montreal. Too bad cause i think he is more talented then that. |

No you got me all wrong I had fun it's just that there was way too much that ruined the night for me. Don't worry about hanging out together, I am sure we can do that at PVD.
The thing is I am like 6'3 and I was surprised those punk even tried picking a fight with me.
As for Tiesto, mentioned exactly what I was about to post. He had almost an identical set to that of Montreal he played a night before. I was expecting a slightly different show, but Tiesto did not impress as much as he did at the Wintergalactic earlier this year. |

Well, as I mentioned earlier I agree that his set was very predictable. Nevertheless, the set was still very enjoyable. I judge DJ sets by the kind of music DJ plays, and not by "predictability" of the set. Most people enjoyed Tiesto's set as it was. If he started experimenting, a minority(most likely Us, tranceaddicts) would've really loved it, but majority of people, who are not that hardcore trance fans, would not have liked it at all. That's exactly the reason why Essential Mix was that progressive: Majority of UK audience loves progressive. On the other hand, public in Montreal and Toronto is very similar. We are relatively new to Trance. I doubt he is playing Delerium-Silence anywhere in Holland or UK. Yet, most people enjoyed hearing that track here.
The thing I find wicked is how things change. When he dropped Urban Train and Souvenir De Chine during Wintergalactic, nobody cared. Nobody knew titles of those tracks for that matter. Now, these two tracks are like the biggest trance hits ever.
One thing I'm dissapointed about though, is that he didn't drop any Gouryella tracks. That really would be the highlight of the night for me. |

Well, I didn't catch Tiesto at the Wintergalactic, and this was actually my first time seeing him live... and for that reason, I think he rocked the place! And so what if he had almost the same set as he did in Montreal - I wasn't there! And what does this set have to do with any of his previous sets? I am just guessing that he is trying to put up an equally good show in every city he visits, so what if the sets are almost the same (except he didn't play Riva - Stringer in KoolHaus, damn it!)... the important thing is that we all enjoyed it, me especially, and can't wait to see him again!!!
As someone said it before, Tiesto's got the trance, we got the energy (or something along those lines)...! |

Nobody cared?? Trust me people cared! Especially with Souvenir De Chine! And the reason nobody knew the title of it was because it wasn't anywhere near released, we were actually literally one of the FIRST to experience that tune in a club/rave ever! And alot of us knew about Urban Train when it played then! But I know what you mean, what djs have to do is learn to balance the old with the new, in order to (try and) please all of us! :D |

| I really hate it when people start nit picking! When some one is of a mythical status, and as close to perfection as you can get, people will look for complaints just to discredit. Tiesto played an unbelievable set, and it was an unbelievable atmosphere! I could have not wished for anything more. Tiesto just made my year. Like I said before in my post, friends of mine who are not really into trance and came along, fell in love with Tiesto. They could not believe how intense his style was and how unified and energetic the crowd was. Hell, at least you were not hit on all night by a gay guy, like my little cousin Mike was. He did not complain, for the music was too trancending (he's straight BTW)! LOL :o |
