| I liked that remix of Tilt he played. Drums sounded Ferryesque. Markus rocked it. Did anyone post the set times beforehand and I just missed it? I missed the first 45 of Markus' set. AVB's forays into techno bored me as usual, but I liked a lot of his set. I wore earplugs (the cheapies, not the nice hearos i bought at MrS's recommendation), and boy am I glad I did! |

nice seeing some old faces and meeting some new ones - hopefully i'll remember the new faces since i was sober most of the night :toothless
most interesting part of the night happened outside when this guy G'ed out (at least thats what i think happened) and ambulance and police come tearing down ontario. way to start off the evening.
missed all of markus' set except for the last track, due to work - would have liked to heard more of his set and wanted to hear Taurus
the club was at capacity (could it have been any hotter?!) and all i can say is that i had more ppl bump into me last night than ever before - even when i was hiding up on the 3rd floor to get away from the crowds three girls totally run me over. i hate being so damn short at times.
the crowd was totally into armin's set the entire time - the dance floor was packed (tried to dance down there 2 times, but gave up). this set by armin was definitely better than has last 2 in chicago - he mixed it up with a nice variety of tracks and played some old and new tracks. armin looked like he was having a great time behind the decks (who gave him the plastic penis?), signed autographs and took pictures with fans at the end of the night.
worst decision of the night - getting talked into going to a loft party - which was fun - but trying to drive home with roads blocked off due to the chicago marathon was a frickin' nightmare
some tracks i remember played (i'm terrible with track names - the only ones that i know are either tracks that i hate or love - you guess)
-in silence
-underworld track
-communication
-intruder
-that other katana track
-surrender :) :)
-burned with desire
-no one on earth
-some other tracks that sounded familiar from his radio show
one final note - why didn't anyone grab me for the picture with markus???....j/k - cool that he came back for the end of armin's set - hope he had a good first experience in chicago
oh yeah - can't wait to see the pics that CAW took - nice to see him again. :) |

I would guess that Markus recorded at least his set since he was not using the laptop to mix and I saw them hooking it up to the console as Jimmie was finishing his set.
Their set from Vegas is going to be the GDJB tonight or so I heard.
It was pretty packed, ya.

great show yesterday, too bad I got there around midnight. What time did Markus go up there? Never really heard his sets prior to this, but he did a great job. Loved the energy both Markus and Armin put out into the crowd.
ctprincess, whats "G'ed out " mean? I saw the guy as I was coming in but assumed he passed out drunk or od'd on something.
BTW, if they did record their sets, where would we find them? ETS or something?

markus said "it'll probably be on GDJB". seeing markus and armin back-to-back was really a treat. very similar styles. markus proved hes definetly headliner material.
so lets see...
