Looks I'm home first again so I'll get this going :toothless

Excellent night!!!

Got to the Guv early (10) and realized the place is still closed, in fact they left us freezing our asses out in the cold till 10:30 (ouch) :nervous:

Got in - empty (obviously) dead quiet :p All we could we hear was meditation type sounds - tranquile waters and birds singing - quite nice actually. Mark started spinning a short while after we got in and things got under way. Excellent warmeup by Marky - really got me in the mood (except one track maybe that seemed to have gone forever :p).

Marco was SHARP and on time - 1am on the decks - opened with some sexy sexy beats and moved on to the harder stuff. Excellent set IMO - only my second time seing him live, he played everything I wanted him too and I'm REALLY happy I went.

"...My baby shot me down down down down..." :eyespop:  That track just sent me through the roof!

We also got a few waves from Marco himself! He seemed like an awesome guy, too bad I had to take off RIGHT after his set and didn't get a chance to hang around a little longer.

All the TA's - well I have no words you guys rock - I don't think I've ever had better parties than the ones with you guys. I appologize if there was someone I didn't get a chance to say bye to :):p

My head is still banging with dirty Marco V tracks  gonna try to get some sleep now!

Pics to come later ;)

owned again by Marco V...incredible set. My 2nd time hearing him this year (2nd time ever) and he's beome one of the few DJs who keeps me on the dancefloor for their entire set. SO nice to have room to dance, although the pushy bastands were out in full force just like last weekend...

lots of fun mixes...Nancy Sinatra, New Order, etc :D

nice to see some some TAs...Jay, Nat, Graham, cuzo.

Although the boat cruise with Armin will go down for me as the party of the year, no doubt...Marco V gets my vote as my fave DJ of 2004. AWESOME!

Ok so i saw armin on sunday it that was amazing, i love armin. tonight, i skeptical, 10 bucks cover which seemed so low for a DJ of his caliber. And to top it off, the pepole that i usually party with had been pumping marco v all week, then last minute decide they wanna sit at home and burn playing video games listening to trace. SCREW THAT

so the deticated crew went down. got into the club around 12, wandered a bit. Mark Oliver i saw on thursday in london as wasnt impressed at all, but tongiht as i walked into the club Mark was spinning some really sick .

Now i have never seen Marco V ever before, his intro was a little long and not upbeat enough. just as that thought ran through my head things picked up real nice. i went off when he played Age of Our Lives, then Automanual, then right at the end Loops and THings. wow, MARCO V owned me tongiht. Any one that went out and prolly spent 10 bucks on 2 dirnks should have saved those 2 dirnks, and come to GUv to see Marco V. I wish that GUV had got Marco V to come on after Armin, this past week. that woudl have been outta control.

OH and there were a bunch of shovers and such, but totally bareable. There was actually just the right amount of people, you could wake through the dancefloor with a tiny pit of effort, but all in all Im still UP, listening to

Armin Van Buuren - Live at amnesia Ibiza 03-08-2004

i wish i was back at guv with either armin or marco.

Later to all those that will be showing up on here to put your words in. Hope you all had a fun safe night.

another awesome night @ guv..all be it.. a short one by my standards...we left at a SHOCKING 5am....I am to blame for this...i think i musta caught a chill or something friday evening...cuz the way i feel right now..im gonna be very very sick tmrw (sunday)....

enough bitching and moaning....on to the party..
marco played a short set last time he was here @ Ultra Spin 6 or 7.i cant remember...so it was nice to have him to ourselves in that main room for atleast 3hours....Having heard his Essential mix a few days prior to this party and NOT being overly impressed by a new hard progressive style he showed in the first half of that set, i was looking forward to some hard pounding tech-trance. Instead Marco greeted the main room with more of the same...interestingly enough..unlike the EM..i thouroughly enjoyed this first hour..sounded so much better on that Phazon. Some of his tracks were 'bordering' on Tribal house..so it was very interesting. An hour into it tho...he cut the music into a superb mix of "Origiene - Sanctuary" and from here on it was vintage Marco V....the BPM probably jumped more than a few notches as the guv started to pulsate with his energy. Its about this time that i started feeling ty..so went to sit down with funkyfun...very nice of you to sit for so long ash...you didnt have to do that. We sat on the stage and enjoyed every bit of marco's onslaught on the crowd...AutoManual --- Bang Bang --- Looped and relooped --- Flaming June --- BLUE MONDAY!!!!!!!!!..are just some of the awesome tracks he threw down for us....
After Marco V, there was a special guest performer...they called him "THE DEVIL"..he was from panama, or brazil or something...if anyone remembers the old hard house anthems that 666 used to throw down (Dance with the devil --- Alarma --- PartyALarm...etc etc)..we were treated to about 20 mins of raw energy from this scary looking man. (he was dancing while mark spun what looked like a pre recorded set.) It was great cuz the devil guy was mouthing all the words..timed to perfection..and there were ALOT of lyrics..so it was a fun 20 mins...we left soon after as Mark went into some Nice techno..

Completely sober night...extremely painful night....
but so worth it...
tall paul is next wknd...

for all the prog heads... James holden @ system sound bar on friday night. SHould be awesome....

rating 9/10
