I didn't know that FYI translated to that.

Besides, I don't even see how that's possible, since less than 91% even use Windows

I'm not talking about OS. I'm talking about browsers. Based on the 2 million users that I have daily data on, who are browsing the internet - 91% use a version of IE.

Make sense? good.

You missed my point - if 91% don't even use Windows, how could 91% use IE? The browser doesn't exist on any other OS.

Is your data collected solely (or primarily) from Windows users? Is the data collected from website statistics from a website that solely (or primarily) serves Windows/IE users?

Also, if it's relying on user-agent data, it might not be 100% accurate, because other browsers like Opera will often disguise themselves as IE to web sites.

FYI: For the same group 95% uses WinOS, 3% MacOS, 2% other (Linux, BSD, SunOS, etc).

Yes ! I can confirm that. Google used to show stats of OSes ppl use to access Google(they don't anymore), and something like 95% used Windows.

Just to nit pick, there was/is a version available for Unix. At least I ran a copy of it on Solaris 8 (SPARC).

To keep on topic, adblock rules, and the weather extension to put the forecast in your status bar, it's fun.

The tabbed browser preferences extension has this option:

I use the lite version just to get rid of stupid external links opening a new browser window.
