My only comment now is what a boring World Series so far. I've seen much better....
Where's the in game intrigue, not the outside curse mumbo jumbo? |

i'm sure in Boston it isn't boring at all be it that they are flipping cars and people getting maced. Oh yea outside curse mumbo jumbo? BoSox are playing good ball right now they deserve the credit! Do you see the way they are hitting...they are CRUSHING the ball. |

I'm saying all the intrigue is about the curse (Boston winning is cool or whatever). Where is the in game intrigue? Just watching the actual games themselves, where are the late 12 innings duels with Ortiz jacking one out to win... or Jim Edmonds taking one yard in extras. With managers making mistakes/surprises... etc. It's been basically Boston kicking the Cardinals ass. I mean no disrespect to Boston... just talking about the quality as a t.v. watcher has been kind of lame. |

Boston is doing their part to make this an interesting WS. But the Cardinals are playing and hitting like crap so far. We'll see what happend tonight. |

I know, it's too bad.. I thought it would be competitive. Think about the 98 World Series in which the Yanks swept the Padres. Outside of New York, it was pretty lame.
I'm hoping now only for the Cards to win a game.
I think the Yanks and the Red Sox are the two best teams.
I've finally grasped the Red Sox winning...it's ok.. I can let go.

Well despite it being a boring series, and it might be a sweep, i still think that this World Series is something meaningful because the Red Sox:
a) did something that no other team in baseball has done, come back from a 3-0 deficit in the postseason and
b) are competeting to win the World Championship, something they havent been able to do since 1918.
yeah it may be boring, but it just has a lot of history and meaning behind it. |
