Stupidest Thing My Mom Said By Far!!!

ok heres a little story hehe
i was watching tv the other day, Fox tv, a regular channel for kids even on regular cable TV, and a show called "The next american top model" was on
so i was watching it, and the girls were all competing in bikinis, so then my mom walks in, she sees me watching this, now today, (the next day) she tells me i thiink we should cancel our satellite because ur watching too much porn, (our satellite has 3 porn channels not that i care or watch them...)
so heres the stupidness if u already havent figured it out:
#1. this was a frikin tv reality show which is on every week,
#2. it was on REGULAR TV, not satellite
#3. if i wanted porn, i have a frikin computer, no one can stop me!
#4. she thinks me watching this porn (which isnt porn) is preventing me from getting a girlfriend...
so thats that! sometimes i just cant take it!!!! i dunno whether to be pissed off or embaraced right now, never knew its so hard being a teen!!! |

| If shes going to cancel the satellite, get in all the porn you can. TiVO or VCR or whatever. If she's going to cancel it anyways, might as well give her a good reason. |

just try explaining to her that it is a regularly scheduled tv program on fox (bring her to fox's website and show her the tv listing)....there she can read some information on the tv program.
how old are you anyway?

and she doesnt understand anything about technology (computers,satelites,internet if i show her the scheduale)
because i spend a lot of time on the pc producing, she thinks im watching porn :whip: :whip: |

Have you tried reasoning with her? If so, any luck?
Parents can be difficult to deal with sometimes because they think they know it all and tend to react emotionally instead of logically.
But sometimes if you can be calm and respectful and explain why you think they're wrong, you'll be surprised how reasonble they can be.
