i was born in Egypt so technically i should have an Egyptian flag. Problem is cuz the flags are soo damn small, u dont get to see the yellow eagle in the middle. That's my fav part in the egyptian flag.

Either way, i have both citezens so it doesn't matter what i put up. I live here, canadian flag goes up. If i moved back to Egypt for a bit and start posting from there, i'll also put up the Egyptian flag.

arite, honestly, for me, i was born and raised
in canada....

but i did live in croatia for a yr several yrs ago.
point for me is, i've been back there TEN times.
i LOVE canada, but nowhere near as much as Croatia.

my MAIN thought is that my blood, heart, soul,
and EVEN DNA are 100% Croatian, so where i was
born is completely irrelevant to me:)

When I lived in Argentina i had the Argentine flag in my avatar.

I figured that since i chose to live there then i should show my respect.
TheVrk
can KINDA see ur point, but that still
doesnt mean that i SHOULD put the canadian
flag up.....
i gotta respect my heritage waaaaaaaaay be4 where i live:D

wow that's great, i'm sure all the Argentinians were very proud of you ;)

so would it be safe to assume then that you feel people who don't display the flag of the country that they presently reside in are showing disrespect to that country .. ? :haha:

Born in India, moved here when i was 6, dont really speak Hindi anymore. i have no use for it.

but considering i am Indian(born there) i thought it would appropriate to put up.

and anyways, my "location" lets people know where i reside. so the flag just gives them my background

Born and raised in Poland, i fluently speak and write the language but Canadan is my new home.

PS being "from there" means you were born there and can speak the language and doesnt include your parents being born there. hehehe

This should be interesting..........

No, born in Canada. Because, while I am a proud Canadian, I also like to show a rare side of me that shows I am Chilean at heart. I grew up with a proud Chilean family, that instilled those values from home into me, which I mix with my Canadian background as well. Plus its a good way to talk to some other Chileans around the board, and joke around with other people from South American countries without it coming off the wrong way (racism).

I can speak spanish, read it as well, I lived there for some time to learn the language when I was younger, but I still retained my Canadian Citizenship the whole time.
