i think 5am needs to invest in some djs who have records slower than 137 bpm. i dont understand how you can have an internationally renowned act such as solarstone headlining and then put 2 djs on just before them whos style is completely different and unsuitable for that type of gig. other than that it wasn't too bad...

...solarstone just kicked arse though as i knew they would :D just loved the tracks they played, all their production hits over last year or so plus of course 7 cities at the end :) easily for me the highlight of the night. i was really looking forward to hearing them as i was interested in what kind of sound they would have other than their own tracks and it was great. didn't expect to hear 'z2 - i want you' so that was pretty cool :D i thought andy looked...interesting...when he was up there going off ;)

the sideroom was pretty good too. mr hybrid junkie played alright, not as many trainwrecks as the last time i saw him at billboards last year :D although he forgot to bring half his tracks or somethign to the gig...
pat mar was great, even if i don't necessarily fully enjoy the tracks someone is playing i really like seeing them get stuck into the mixer and effects so that was good. saw the end of marsh's set which wasnt too bad but i was tired and just sitting down in the corner so couldn't fully appreciate what was being played, other than the track he produced which sounded great :) same goes for batemanscott, was alright until the last track and then the next dj i thought was too hard for my liking. i thought you weren't supposed to take the mixer into the red either but it stayed there the whole set and ruined 're:locate - waterfall' imo cause it was hard to hear it properly.

hmm i guess that looks like a pretty average review! but i guess really other than solarstone the night wasnt that special. it was fun meeting vitamin v and chatting to tachyon and of course always great hanging out with paulie and jizza and dave and big props to the new breaks remix of greece 2000 out on cdr hehe ;)

Solarstone were pretty cool, played a good trance set, played the hits, personally enjoyed 3rd earth the most.
Hmm what else, yeah D bass looks like the hot chick from species, Scott creamed the side room towards the end(future can pick em, eh), Pat Mar is really good...yeah cool. fun.

Light the fuse: Cox @ r00m will be biggest party of the summer, but 5am @ r00m lol r00m doesnt cater for this "raver" crowd at all.

was always gonna be a little tough getting big numbers with earthcore on the same weekend but it wasn't too bad.

ended up leavin early (due to tired b/friend) but thoroughly enjoyed the night.
