i was j/k. someone got up on the wrong side of the bed. canon makes a good camera i've used the powershot pro 1 and have been very happy with it, never used the a95. as far as the price of course they fall over time but i don't have my crystal ball so i can't give you an exact date when and how much they will fall  |

I had answered your question, but my post is now gone :o
the A95 is a good camera for its price! I'm thinking of buying the same for my gf for Christmas.
And as for the price going down, its irrelavant because prices always go down every month or so for consumer electronics.
Check www.ecost.com for the A95, its 500$ shipped at your door including taxes, compared to 500+tx at futurecrap. |

what does interest me that it leaves room to expand like getting different lenses and such (even tho that is expensive).
and since it came out not too long ago, i really think that the prices are going to drop after christmas particularly on this camera.
that ecost.com, that's US dollars on there, right? |

you have to spend around $1,000 to get a digital slr with interchangeable lenses (the one you're looking at doesn't) canon entry level slr is the rebel. but if your not a semi-professional the size and expense don't make sense for the average consumer who wants a pocket sized, point and shoot camera. even if you could afford a digital slr would you really want to lug around a camera bag at a party? |

nope, thats Canadian funds, choose an item and then click canadian customers checkout... it will give you a final price with shipping, taxes and other fees in canadian.
And forget about interchangeable lenses for cameras like the A95, they're soo expensive that its not even funny :( |

well there are tele/wideangle converters sold as accesories to pocket digitalcameras like the A95. You won't get much, but they are cheap. |
