“Canada is the most under appreciated country when it comes to dance music”
Words uttered to me by a Buffalo, NY kid this weekend while enjoying the sounds of Greg Benz in the U.K.

Richie Hawtin, Tiga, John Acquaviva, Max Graham, Mistress Barbara, Luke Fair, Brad Copeland, Benz & M.D, etc etc etc (I know I’m forgetting a load, not to mention a good chunk of my friends from this board who could easily dj at any “A” class club in the world)

Techno, Electro, Progressive, House, Trance? Those are some major players in the game.

Sorry am I just stating the obvious? I just think the Canadian scene deserves more credit… Toronto and Montreal in particular are world class clubbing cities. Comments?

(I think the point of this thread was to remind the Toronto peeps that you are spoiled!)

why are we so underrepresented ? i dunno maybe media outlets like DJ Mix Mag and etc. don't really consider Canada to be much of a clubber's destination in a global scale so perhaps we don't get as much media exposure not to mention that we're a much smaller market compared to that in Europe & US ..
