I don't think Bobby has ever seen the inside of ANY of Madison's clubs! LOL

I've had nights at all three, and none of them are doing anything trance related. I don't mean to sound egotistical by saying this, but there may not be any madtown trance happenings upcoming anytime soon after I moved down to Georgia. I would hope that some up and coming trance DJ's start playing out and fill the void though, there definitely is/was a good trance following there, assuming u could ever get them to come outta the house.

Closest thing might be a progressive house night @ The King Club (across from The Majestic) on the last Friday of every month. They had Nosmo from Grayarea there recently, and had been talking about some big names coming in later this year when i left.

madison is full of liberal hippie druggies. that is why it is one of the safest cities.

:wtf:

yea, maytag is right. a lot of the trance djs are kinda talked into staying at home and not playing out. and right as maytag left town there was a trance night started at king club called obsession, but its since been canned. basically its up to one of the venues to take a chance on trance again. i suppose it would help if i handed out demos too....

btw maytag, just the other day i was listening to a demo you gave me like a year or so ago. it was called like 'green #002' i think...good stuff.

I was thinking to go to every club/bar/coffee place in Madison giving DEMO MIXES away, but it seems like ppl is not interested in Trance around here... maybe they don't really know what Trance is ! I'm pretty sure that if we all start working together as a team eventually someone will open the doors for us. I think it's hard to do it by himself (specially being a Foreigner) but if they see a good amount of Trance lovers in the area, maybe someone would give us a night.

If we all go to a club any club to talk to the owner to explain him how bad we want a Trance night and show him/her how willing we all are to promote the event (giving flyers to ppl in UW, MATC, and Local places) MAYBE someone will give us a try.

No club is willing to promote a Trance night, (too much $$$) however I am "we are", IF we do it, we can make this work .

Why don't we all meet up someday to talk about it?

Cheers
P.S - Sorry about my english

Piss off, I've been to all of them :)

Anyways I can't really say I care that there's a lack of a proper 'trance' scene in Madison since I don't listen to trance anymore.

Mitch, what the is up, how's Georgia?

Seems like Inferno would be the best spot to get a trance night. Has anyone suggested it there? I have heard a wide range of electronic music there.

They seem to be open to just about anything. Anyone talked to them? Just a thought.
tylerc
I've never been to the inferno, so I dunno what kind of stuff they do there. It's worth a shot tho.

I'm not particularly upset that there isnt a trance scene here. If there isn't a market for it, it shouldnt get shoved down people's throats. I've sort of moved on to the prog and house stuff, but i I would definitely get involved if a trance night came together.

Inferno is worth a try. I have heard trance, prog, house, d&b all played at the Inferno. No specfici trance nights , but personally the best place for electronic music around. Sometimes mixed in with visual performance art stuff.

They do bring in larger acts at times (Plastikman earlier this year).
