like others have said there is nothing wrong with meeting ppl online. Its just easier to make friends and if something develops thats cool if your willing to move to the same location. Its better than going to a bar. Ppl tend to open up more online than they do @ a bar.
But as far as intraweb dating goes it's just stupid. There are couple of ppl here who have made real jack asses out of themselves. It's one thing to flirt online its another to become someone's intraweb bf/gf. |

I met my current boyfriend on the internet... no, not on a dating service, I'd never actually sign up for one of those I don't think...
We both posted on a message board for quite a while and at Christmas there was a secret santa gift exchange. He got my name and bought me some really cute Victoria's Secret pyjamas ;) That got us talking (on the phone) and after about a month of that, he flew out to Montreal from Vancouver to meet me. We finally closed the distance gap in August when I moved out there, and now we're both in Montreal and still going strong after a year and almost 9 months!
It can work, but it can't stay online for long once you actually meet, cause it's just too painful if there's a real connection there. |

intraweb girlfriend/boyfriend, as in, you guys are just totally online together and never intend on closing the gap?? i thought the ones dating here and called themselves "intarweb gf/bf" or whatever, were just being silly, and they were really bf/gf in real life and had a relationship outside of the internet.
i agree. gay. waste of time and emotions too. |
